  1. I have the Terrova with I-pilot link it has the big fob and foot control. I also picked up the small basic function fob. It's all digital and works great for my bass fishing jon boat. The wind would wear me out prior to having spot lock and autopilot. I can hit spot lock and fish an area no matter what the wind is doing. I can move in 5' increments just by tapping a button(back/fwd/left/right). Turn on autopilot and fish down a section of bank at whatever speed I choose. The only two benefits the cable has over the digital in my opinion is knowing the trolling motor direction without looking and precision position while fishing tight to docks.
  2. 1) Zoom Super Fluke 2) Vertical Spoon 3) Zoom finesse worm on shakey head 4) all others vary by season but those 3 always go to the lake
  3. Water temp on my primary lake is 69 to 72. Deep (110' max depth) grassy lake with 2' to 6' visibility. We still have spawning bass but I'm catching my larger bass in 15' to 20' fishing slow. Catching great numbers of small bass 6' to 12' water fishing fast.
  4. I never said cast at them. I said next to them. Don't get me wrong if you come in fish behind me and stay 80 to 100 yards away I'd never have a problem. If you trolled right up to me and introduced yourself I'd even tell you what I've caught and what I'm using but if you think you're gonna push me down the bank I'll hit spot lock and hang out. I always try to be a nice guy. Some people just won't let me. It's seems to be mostly spring/fair weather boaters.
  5. I have a school of Bull Shads/Bull Herrings, a few Triple Trouts and Megabass Megadog. I haven't lost one yet. I retie multiple times a day especially after a catch.
  6. I don't say a word to them. They figure out that i had a problem after the 8th,9th, or 10th donut just shy of planing. Sometimes I just pickup my swimbait rod a throw 6 ounce lures next to them over and over until they move on . I as others have stated I fish big lakes only at night or winter.
  7. I run 10 lb Berkley fireline braid with 6 lb Red label FC using a 7 wrap Alberto. I retie before every trip and have caught 5 to 10 lb stripers on it. If it'll handle those hard chargers it'll definitely handle LM.
  8. You talking bout my head ain't ya.
  9. Whopper Plopper 75 is pretty small.
  10. I've been taking a quick pic with my phone of every fish I've caught for 4 years. I also take a pic of my trucks instrument panel for air temp and get a shot of my fish finder for water temp. Each pic tags location and time. If it's a nice fish I'll get the pic of the fish with the lure I caught it on. It's simple, quick, and has really improved my ability to replicate some great days. By the time I get home I'm not looking to fill out paperwork.
  11. I keep my index finger against the line primarily while night fishing. I'm a line watcher in the daylight.
  12. I run the small Hornady ultrasonic cleaner. I clean bearings and gears with it. I would add a pack of very sharp hooks if you're going to remove bearing shields.
  13. Seaguar Red Label FC is all I use for leaders. I've seen no reason to pay more for less.
  14. Own both and can't feel the difference through my fishing gloves.
  15. When it gets hot to the point I'm ready to leave the lake by 11am I'll go completely nocturnal. Big lures fished slowly whether it's 10xd, Grenade, 12" worm, 6.25" craw, colorado spinnerbait, magnum fluke, topwater, or big swimbait. I'll let the fish dictate the depth I fish but I consistently catch my bigger fish fairly shallow at night. The larger fish seem to feed shallow and then suspend out in deeper water until the next feeding window at night. Summer nights(large & slow) and blistering cold of winter(vertical spoon slow) produce for me.
  16. I don't target bedding fish. I'll typically head to wind blown points and fish my way into coves/pockets with topwater, spinnerbait, and flukes. Once I figure out where the bulk of the feeding fish are I head straight to same distance/depth in the next cove. I believe that we have prespawn, spawning, and post spawn fish now. I've been catching them coming and going. Been four times this week and caught four species of bass every trip.
  17. Recieved a brand new Savage Gear 3d snake 12" and it was broke in the package. Emailed Savage and got a quick response. They ask for photos and my address. Sent photos and info to them. That was over two months ago. I've emailed the guy I dealt with 3 times and received no further correspondence. Poor customer service in my eyes for a $27 lure.
  18. 7'6" to 8' for my frogging. I fish big swimbaits on my 8' rods alot so I'm accustomed to the longer rods.
  19. It walks great. It's a big lure. I'll report when I get more time on the water with it. Post spawn fish will hopefully be feeding on Megadogs.
  20. Megabass Megadog. Much easier to work than the Lunker Punker and has yet to get fouled on the line
