  1. Nice. Thanks.
  2. Megabass Megadog glides nicely.
  3. That will be abused.
  4. Gain access by any means necessary. You can not miss fishing. ?????
  5. 207 lbs of battery & a quality 27 lb charger ?
  6. Years ago bought 2 Optima 31 blue tops that lasted over 5 years so I replaced them with the same Optimas. Unfortunately the second set lasted 15 months and I had several other folks that had similar experiences. I'm not condemning Optimas but 15 months is no good. I've run the Duracell 31 for two years and so far so good.
  7. Spinning reel I rotate the drag knob from full off to 1.637 rotatations. Baitcasters 2.449 rotations back from full lockdown unless I'm flipping, pitching, or frogging then it's full lock down. If your rod, reel, line, and hooks are perfectly matched this system works. ?
  8. If the bass have small fish to feed on I'll sling a spinnerbait.
  9. The really good big bait slingers will often only have a couple rods and a handful of baits. I guess I'm a bad big bait slinger.
  10. BPS Stick-O 5 & 3/8" Black & Blue weightless 5/0 EWG Gamakatsu
  11. Fishing one night with a friend in his 18' boat, we had a storm ease up on us. It got pretty rough very quick so we tied off to the only dock(no roof) we could locate. We were sitting there both realizing we needed better rainsuits, when the home owner that had apparently looked out the window and spotted our poor wet rumps flashed a flashlight at us. We made our way up to the house and waited out the storm on the covered porch. Roughly 20 minutes later the storm abated, we thanked those folks and headed back down to continue fishing. The boat was 1" shy of being completely full of water. We knew it was raining hard but to almost sink his so quickly was a shock. He installed a auto bilge pump before our next excursion.
  12. You could add Suspend dots/strips to a floating Rattle Trap and make a custom slow float, suspend, or slow sink.
  13. 40 to 50 years old. That's old enough to know better than to not atleast having pfd's on board.
  14. Arrived at the boat ramp early one morning to do a bit of dock talk with the 20 - 30 tournament fellas I know. Had all my gear laying in the bed of the truck waiting on my bud with his boat. Thirty minutes or so later here comes my fishing partner with no boat in tow. He had apparently thought we were fishing in my boat. We still haven't lived that incident down. I'm very thankful we weren't fishing in the tournament.
  15. BASS! It's what for dinner. Oh yes I do. Largemouth & Spots get equal attention.
  16. Never fished in Texas, so haven't had a reason to Texas rig. Maybe one day .
  17. Start wearing a headlamp. Maybe they'll get the message.
  18. Honda makes a 2.3 hp that weighs 29.5 lbs that can be found used under $750. That's less than 1/2 of what one of my group 31's weigh.
  19. I'd do if you got the $. It'd be a huge upgrade. You can add a TM with spot lock later.
  20. Nice. That's some line up you have there.
  21. Very nice. Lots of work right there.
  22. I fish Ned/Dropshot/light swimbaits with my 1000 Ci4+ and it's very nice.
  23. My Minn Kota Terrova with I-pilot (Spot Lock, Cruise Control, and the Go-To feature used in conjunction with my Solix) has greatly improved my cast to catch ratio. It allows me to fish my light boat in winds that would've previously run me off the lake or kept me home. I can present lures properly without being blown around or constantly fighting to control the boat. The Go-To feature allows me to sneak into a waypoint without alerting the fish.
  24. I fish a couple tuned Abu 6500's, Lew's Super Duty wide speed spool, Revo Toro Beast 60, and a Tranx 400 for swimbaits. The Tranx and Revo Toro Beast have much stronger drags and cast control handle windy conditions better. I'd suggest a Tranx 300 as it can handle about any swimbait. No braid for me when bigger swimbaits are involved.
