I have been using the St. Croix Legend LBC70MHMF sweeper spinnerbait rod for several years exclusively for 1/2 oz spinner baits and trailer while night fishing, to me the rod is spot on, I've been looking for another and just seen that the Mojo Trigon in model # JOC70MHMF is the replacement for the Legend model, anyone know the reasoning for the change from the legend to the mojo, which is a cheaper model and will I get the same performance in the Mojo as I currently have in the Legend model. The legend is a awesome rod IMO. Thanks

Funny how we get away from some of the old tried and true tactics we used to use with the advent of all the new baits and techniques around. I used to fish that technique all the time years back and my rod was a 6' Fenwick Mach III 2 piece combo and just dragged it around and slight popping action when needed, and that would usually entice a strike, caught a lot of fish using that. I still have that setup in the rod rack, I should pull it out and put it back in use.

Rain/Storms in the spring with the low pressure it brings is the trigger for the bigger fish to turn on, if I'm on the lake when they are in forecast I want to make note of available docks to get into if I can't get back to the dock where I am staying, Any severe storms in forecast definitely watch the sky and radar and always stay near enough to get back safely as the storms can pop up quick.

I prefer the casting model for my shakey head fishing, I have a 742C SH extreme paired with a Daiwa Alphas CT SV, it is a awesome rod for 1/8 oz shakey head, that is my main use for it, spool it with braid and a flouro leader and you can feel them breathe on it.

I have two pair, wiley X & Costa, they are expensive but worth it
