I'm an Airrus fan so I may be biased, but I feel the company is being treated unfairly here. First of all, Airrus rods were always assembled in China, since the Ken Whiting era... the only short period of time in which they made them in the USA was around 2007-2008 when the brand was owned by Castaway and they were making, honestly, terrible rods.
About the reel seat, I own several rods of several brand and all have different spaces for the reel, as there's no standard of foot lenght, I have no issues with my Stargates using a properly sized daiwas, also I'm very very impressed by the rod sensitivity while the weight is not that low (still a lot better than the old nano-fusion)
