  2. I've been fishing a fluke for my entire bass fishing life. A longgg time. Think senko. Sink sink sink. Twitch repeat
  3. Geese ducks a kingfisher and a rotten women's thong from a very "urban" lake. That same day we also caught a plastic bag with a bluegill in it and my buddy caught a 20 pound carp on a jerkbait
  4. I have one. First year it was fine middle of this year it started flexing so bad it's uncomfortable to use.first time it flexed on me it was so bad it felt like the reel was loose on the rod while fighting about a 15 inch large. Do not waste your money, spend it elsewhere with a company that strives to build the best available. If you want. Pm me your number and I can send you a video of how bad this reel twists on the stem
  5. If you would like to get out sometime send me a message with your phone number I will gladly take you out on my boat with me or even meet up to bank fish. And yes WB is a tough lake
  6. Get anti cav plate level with bottom of hull. Your motor is to high and likely cavitating. With a 25 hp on a 16 foot bass boat I was running mid 20s and with a 9.9 4 stroke on a jackplate I was running mid teens. on a 14 32 Jon with a 9.9 I'm running 17 with me and my son. You should be up around 20 mph with that boat
  7. I think digitaka sells JDM rods as well as reels.
  8. Looked up your county. Found a lake called silver lake at valpo park I think it's called. Theirs also spectacle lake at Lakewood park and bigger lakes called Loomis, Long , and Flint right next to it. I would look at these lakes
  9. A weightless worm either senko or trick worn is guaranteed to atleast catch A bass but typically multiples
  10. Longer handles for deep cranking are very effective. Everything else 80s and 90s are fine. Remember guys, women say handle size doesn't matter
  11. Check to make sure like didn't get between spool and frame.
  12. I have more high end casting reels than I care to admit. I picked one of the blackmax up for a general back up to keep in the boat for people to use that need a reel. It is fine for the money I actually don't hate using it
  13. While the offer would be greatly appreciated i would kindly refuse
  14. Best thing about spinning reels is when you don't catch anything to eat you can beat your eggs with it
  15. I think fish are alot like humans. The young to teenage ones have huge heart and small brain, think they're all big fish of the pond. Then when they get older and wiser they just sit back and wait for the fun to come to them and laugh at the young bucks. If caught bass smaller than the baits I've been throwing enough times to know they are convinced they're badasses
  16. Stick with shimano or Lew's. Ive had a few daiwa products, I gave them all to people I severley dislike
  17. 99%of my plastics are reaction innovations
  18. I've been fishing Ohio creeks for smallies my entire life. The hotter it is the better it gets. Espescially if theirs little to no rain for a while they set up in the most obvious spots it's almost to easy. Hard to beat a rebel weecraw and a 1/8oz jighead and 3 inch twister ta for creek smallies.
  19. Yes I have been on Erie in rough water in small boats I have had my 16 footer out there when it's been rolling 3s. We fish Erie in everything from my 16 footer to 20 foot bass boats guess you just gotta trust who you are with
  20. I agree rules are rules. But it was made known that John Cox winning with his 75 and all the other anglers complaining are why it went into effect . I'm guessing all those boats are inspected prior to the tournament due to safety/liability issues. It should have been caught. Not making excuses for not knowing the tournament rules but come on. A motor to small? That's just silly. I could see if there was some guys running a 300+ it's obviously unfair
  21. We had a force. Was nothing but an anchor and I question if it would have even done that well to be honest.
  22. How about poche getting DQd for to small of an outboard. The article I read said the rule was put in place after Cox won in 17 with his 75 hp and all the other anglers complained. What a bunch of babies
  23. Find weeds find fish. Look for rock piles with your electronics. Often times a rock pile will only hold 1 to 3 fish but they're typically big. Tubes cranks dropshot will get them .larger pieces of structure such as shipwrecks rock flats or weeds will hold bigger numbers of fish but the size is typically not as good. Small buzzbaits will crush feeding smallies in early morning hours
  24. Yes Texas rig so it stays weedless. Let it fall on slack line and twitch. During a shad spawn this can be deadly
  25. Agree with above. Couple pounds. Short and fat. Knew a few girls like that
