  1. am i blind or is there no "weigh-in" section on the new website to live stream the weigh in lol? nevermind, now it popped up
  2. drew cook smokin' them so far today
  3. next stop for the 2022 bassmaster elite series starts tomorrow on santee cooper lakes. excited for the action to come!
  4. cashion "core" series rods have this nice stamp on their rods
  5. again, that's your opinion and i have mine. my original statement was disagreeing with you saying there is no other rod comparison in the $170 price range which is false lol. i know you're right about everything all the time, but in this case you aren't
  6. thats the exact type of answer i expected from you. i appreciate you having your own opinion, but you have nothing to back up your statement
  7. lol. i'm curious exactly how they "out-perform"?
  8. daiwa tatula elites would like to have a conversation with you ?
  9. big yikes to anyone questioning Tom, his knowledge, fish catches, anything else he says.
  10. i don't crank much, but when i do it's usually prespawn in the spring up shallow. my personal favorite flat sided crankbait is the jackall bling 55. alternatives i like are the frittside 5, and rapala OG
  11. HA i got all of that company info from him on discord! i've been looking for vixens and i had no idea teckel had the same mold
  12. As far as quality, does anyone have experience with these compared to the discontinued Reaction Innovations Vixen? Apparantely the Teckel kicknocker is the same exact bait as the first run Reaction Innovations Vixen. Long story short, Andre (Reaction Innovations owner) and Hidekai (who owns Teckel) had a falling out a few years ago for whatever reason. That’s why RI hasn’t had anymore vixens. Hidekai basically owns the molds and has produced them through Teckel.
  13. right hand or left hand?
  14. the larger handle alone makes the PF reel great. having more leverage with the handle helps significantly when trying to get bass out of heavier cover instead of pulling with the rod.
  15. daiwa tatula 7' medium $149.99 msrp daiwa exceler 2500 $79.99 msrp 15 lb. braid to an 8lb fluorocarbon leader of your choice
  16. do i see a hint of green along the bottom, or is that just the lighting/reflection? if not it looks like smoke black & purple flake
  17. Daiwa Tatula glass casting rod - 7'2" Medium Heavy $150.00 Perfect for crankbaits, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits Taper Line Wt. Lure Wt. Guides Handle Type Handle Length Price Regular 10-20lb 1/4-1oz 8+Tip Tatula II Glass A 14.25" $149.99
  18. jerkbait is for sure a year round lure, but i really hesitate throwing it during the warm summer months. i'll catch fish on it ALL day, but 98% of them are those toothy slime darts
  19. great jerkbait. when i first started throwing them i thought i was smacking the lure on something every time on my back swing because of the weight system LOL
  20. Rod: 7'1 heavy Daiwa Tatula Reel: Daiwa Tatula CT 7.3 Line: 50lb. PowerPro Spectra
  21. i prefer 7 to 8 speed gear ratios. i can always slow down if needed and i don't deep crank at all so i have no need for a 5 speed reel.
  22. like the others have said, i would throw a swim jig if you are dead set on using a "jig"
  23. a top notch option would be a daiwa tatula elite spinning rod 7' med light "Meyer" model. i'd shy away from the BG for a reel as it is on the heavier side and look for a daiwa fuego LT. you can snag both of these for around $280 total. there are a TON of other fantastic rod options in the $100-$150 price range. i'm sure you'll receive a good amount of suggestions in this thread as far as smallmouth bass baits. berkley maxscent flat worm is hot right now, and they do get bit for sure. you'll have good luck with a tube, ned rig, small keitech swimbait, and jerkbait in most smallmouth bass fisheries.
