  1. only “known” angler from connecticut that i know of is elite series pro paul mueller
  2. can you PM me some of those FB groups?
  3. welcome! great community we have here
  4. the 6th Sense Divine Hybrid jig was money for me this past season.
  5. seems like a nice not-so-huge option at 1oz. always helps when it has good reviews too
  6. thats an awful take, but to each there own?
  7. GET YOUR OWN BOAT IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT. just kidding. that would be an ignorant response.
  8. yeah i feel like i'll be digging myself into a hole, but hey, fishing is my hobby and i'm willing to drop some bucks on things i like/want. i went ahead and purchased a couple of the jackall gantarel jr.'s to start (great reviews and on sale at TW).
  9. would you get that over the scale gill? ton's of grass on the lakes i fish around here. i'll be sure to check out the weedless
  10. i just grabbed two of them. TW has a sale so i figured i'd just diveeeee right in
  11. the bait monkey (jackall) strikes again! i also needed these.... right?
  12. yeaaaaa, i'm already in denial about it lol
  13. haha my exact thoughts
  14. i've checked a few of those out. right now i have my eyes on the jackall ganteral jr. and megabass vitalion ito for starters
  15. this has happened to me in my smaller club tournaments a few times. it's actually very frustrating, especially since being at the back of the boat already has a slight disadvantage per say. usually i'll speak up and just ask for a little bit of room to be able to flip and pitch to the bank or whatever we're fishing at the time. i've tried dragging something off the back of the boat, but it's a pain in the butt to keep up and I usually just wind up getting even more frustrated since it's not ideally what i'd like to be doing.
  16. daiwa tatula 100 has been great for me when throwing super light presentations. a nice soft tip that loads up nice also helps!
  17. looking for some reasonably priced swimbait recommendations. 1 to 2 ounces preferrably so nothing huge. a lot of lakes around here are pretty clear clarity wise, and i am intrigued at finding new way's to find that bigger bite. thanks!
  18. how do you typical fish the caffeine shad? i have two packs sitting around that i was going to throw for a chatterbait trailer but never did.
  19. rwally depends on the lake im fishing and what time of year BUT if i had to narrow it down to five... - medium fast action spinning rod for dropshot/ned rig - medium fast action spinning rod for neko/tube - mh fast action casting rod for jigs or texas rigs - mh moderate action casting rod for crankbaits - heavy moderate action casting rod chatterbaits
  20. absolute steal at that price!
  21. What is everyone's preference for texas rigs? I've stuck with EWG's in every situation unless I'm flipping pretty heavy cover with braid.
  22. if you love your daiwa reel now and are uneasy about the abu, i'd say just stick to what you like. i swear by all of my daiwa reels
  23. i cant speak for the champ XP, but i have the 7'3 MH Ehrler and the 7'3 H Omori and they are probably my favorite rods that i own. the tatula elite blow's almost every rod in that price point out of the water along with a ton of $200+ rods
  24. very nice!
