  1. daiwa tatula 7'1" heavy casting rod - TTU711HFB specifically made for jigs
  2. shallower water i like to lift and give the rod a few little pops. deeper water on humps and channel swings i like to slow drag on the bottom
  3. check out a daiwa fuego 3000 or a pflueger supreme. both great reels and retail for $100
  4. i have a 7’3 MH fast tatula that is an absolute work horse of a rod. so versatile and perfect for lighter texas rigs, jigs, small swimbaits, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits
  5. texas rigged sweet beaver with atleast 20lb test for me. dang zebra mussels always trying to ruin the fun
  6. couple years back i had a dobyns colt 734C which was a stellar rod for my moving baits. chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, whopper ploppers, spooks, etc. worked great. i personally couldn't think you could beat that for $80
  7. the BG is a nice reel, just a tad on the heavier side like you said compared to others. what is your budget?
  8. i knew taking a lap around BPS during lunch wasn't a good idea.
  9. you are 100% sir!
  10. i didn't know having powerpoles made you a great bass fisherman ? i know some guys who have them on their boat that rarely if ever use them
  11. i don't mind the logo. they could have at least tried to incorporate some of the older look into it, but as long as the bait's don't change it's fine with me!
  12. awesome thank you for the info! i can't believe you allowed a daiwa and shimano to mingle you sly dog!
  13. i scored a brand new 6’10 M tatula elite AGS spinning rod on ebay for $155 shipped to my door. not bad for a $280 rod
  14. id go with the lite trout. the profile fits better, and even if it’s not a natural forage, it will give the bass something different to look at which might be more intriguing
  15. anyone here have experience with it? i'm loving the idea of having the oversized handle and knobs for wrenching those bass out of thicker cover opposed to using the rod as much to do so
  16. i wanted to make it was realistic as possible ?
  17. shrimp tails and plastics like it says! id throw some light and weightless texas rigs, poppers and other small topwater, 2.8-3.5” keitechs
  18. re-worked the BR logo - whatcha guys think?!
  19. i've never caught a fish on a buzzbait! plenty of fish on whopper plopper though ?
  20. i'm pretty sure most aftermarket cork knobs are sealed. though i'm not sure how long they last or hold up with typical wear and tear
  21. i have a few and i like them! the screw lock keeper is fantastic
  22. check out the daiwa tatula elite line. the brent ehrler 7'3 medium heavy all purpose rod might be one of my favorites that i own. i throw weightless plastics, texas rigs, jigs, paddle tails, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits all on this one rod. $180.00 price point you can't beat it
  23. ^ i'd double down and agree here
  24. what is the top of what you’re willing to spend?
  25. i reel down my slack and send it especially when flipping and pitching
