  1. this is kind of irrelevant since average weights of bass vary depending on your location in the country. just because you catch "multiple" bass over 10lb's every year where you live doesn't make you a better angler or qualify your "right" or "wrong" opinion over others. just my two cents lol
  2. really depends on your budget. i'm biased towards daiwa just because i own a ton of their gear, so i could recommend a fuego (just as MN Fisher said above) or a tatula CT. quality reels and you won't break the bank.
  3. 2021 AOY and wins the first 2022 event... stud!
  4. 6'6 medium daiwa tatula rod paired with a tatula ct 6.3.1 reel and 12lb fluoro
  5. i've fished the fury rod and it was well suited for squarebills, wiggle warts, and other medium diving crank baits. i'd recommend a 6.3.1 gear ratio reel
  6. a medium heavy fast action should cover all of your bass and pike needs
  7. there's an old timer in my club who only throws a green pumpkin senko on a light texas rig. he usually does decent in our small club tournaments and always comes back with fish in the livewell. to each their own i guess!
  8. hilarious and a carbon copy
  9. lure choice depending on season and whatever cover you’re fishing. Baitcasting 7'1" MH Fast rod 15-17lb fluorocarbon jigs, texas rigs Spinning 7'0" MH Fast rod 12lb fluorocarbon chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, lighter topwaters, carolina rigs Spinning 6'6" M Fast rod 15lb braid to 8-10lb fluorocarbon leader senkos, tubes, ned rigs, shaky heads, hair jigs, small swimbaits Spinning 6'6" M Fast rod 15lb braid to 8-10lb fluorocarbon leader drop shot, drop shot, drop shot
  10. i know a ton of dobyns only guys and almost all of them do not own a single signature fred rod.
  11. great color especially if your any of your waters hold alewife
  12. that tatula 7’3 MH is an absolute workhorse and excellent all purpose rod. great pick up
  13. i take reviews with a grain of salt, especially rod reviews. my favorites are the ones saying their rod snapped boat flipping a one pounder. i’d love to watch a video of this so called rod snapping boat flip. you know once you flip the fish into the boat you need more than 6 inches of line from your rod tip
  14. fishing it vertically off the side of the boat i drop it down, let it soak, give it a couple twitches, repeat. if i cast it out i let it sink, slow drag with a couple twitches, soak, repeat back to the boat
  15. This event is the MLF pro circuit that is the traditional 5 bass limit. A few of the Bass Pro Tour anglers fish in it, but not all. Most were FLW anglers
  16. i'd apologize, but i'm not sorry! you won't be either!
  17. i'm going to try to get to the expo sunday. good luck with the snow! make sure you check out all of their stuff, they make KILLER jigs and soft plastics.
  18. if you like those and are looking for a similar alternative, check out the beast coast magic flick.
  19. dang, now i'll have to watch the 2021 elite series recap videos today!
  20. thank god my wife is a better chef than me because we'd be eating chicken, rice, some roasted vegetables everyday for dinner. on a more serious note.. i am a newlywed but have been living with my now wife for a couple years. i always help with chores around the house regardless, especially cleaning since i am the cause of the mess majority of the time. i don't have an issue with it at all and nobody should in my opinion. we're far from the days of "the women belong in the kitchen cooking and cleaning". time to grow up fellas
  21. so far the camera boats pretty uneventful. seems to be a tough bite
  22. the one technique i NEVER use, that I will give a fair shot this year
