  1. Just buy a few Roman Made swimsuits and $20 for a chatterbait is nothing!
  2. I picked up three baits, a Bagley DB-3, Poe's RC3, and Poe's 300 in some nice colors. Does anyone know the proper name/color code for these baits? Are they worth anything? Poe's used to be pretty popular in the 80s/90s but had some durability issues and Bagley's are just classics!
  3. Daiwa Tatula 701MLRB Daiwa SV103H 10lb. test line
  4. Does anyone know the back handle length?
  5. I picked up a Powell 3D Max Casting rod (7'2" MH) for $70 the other day on closeout at Field and Stream.
  6. Still trying and still hopeful.
  7. Any other help would be great...this is a gem of a reel!
  8. I need some help and maybe some advice as to what to do… A little over a month ago, I contacted a seller on here who was selling a rod. He accepted my offer for the model he was selling (selling because of some health concerns) and I sent him payment in the form of a check for the agreed amount. I sent the check actually to his father as he asked because of a particular circumstance he was in at the time needing surgery and not being at home. His father who is an older gentlemen deposited the check on his behalf and the rod arrived to me on June 7th damaged from USPS with about 6” of tip broken off in an open cardboard tube. I contacted the seller and spoke with him and he told me to reject the delivery from the post office and to send the rod back to him (he is the original owner) and he would remedy the situation. The post office marked it rejected and I actually put the person at the post office on the phone with him to speak about what to do. The rod arrived back to him safely and he contacted the rod company about a warranty replacement (as per their no questions asked policy). He assured me that a new rod was on the way and he would resend it back to me. He kept in contact with me until last week when he said he shipped the rod out to me. Since then, (6/27/18), I have attempted to call, text, and email this person after communication cut off. Could it be that he got a new rod back and decided just to keep it and my payment? That would be awful if so. I know I should use PayPal but have bought and sold so many items on here and other places using checks and money orders and this is my first issue in hundreds of transactions. What can/should I do? I hope he doesn’t have further health concerns and that is why he isn’t in contact, but at the same time, when he texted me that it shipped UPS last Wednesday, I should no doubt have the rod by now. Any help/advice would be great. Thank you and best wishes on the water!
  9. I have two. One 6'9" ML spinning that I use and one that I got on closeout as a backup that still has its tags and plastic bag sleeve. Was just down your way today to Philipsburg to take the kids to the life sized Thomas the Train. Any parent here would understand the mass chaos of this real live train event. LOL.
  10. Is it a solid or tubular tip on that rod?
  11. What techniques are you using the Seth rod for? I have the Cronos version of his rod.
  12. $12 per fish to stock so I imagine that was expensive. They said they are slowly but surely clearing the lake up nicely. Now I see why they built the new dam with fencing at the spillway.
  13. Talked to one of the folks that lives on the lake and found my answer...triploid grass carp! They are sterile and were put in a few years ago to maintain vegetation.
  14. Yeah...Aldebarans for $109.99...sure! Looks sketchy to me...
  15. I have the following items for sale: Team Daiwa TD-Z A.O.I. handle with retainer and screw. They only made a few hundred of these and very rarely do you see parts available for them. I hate to let this one go but now is the time. Daiwa T3 star drag wheel. Daiwa SV103 spool. This spool has a slight dent in rim and the inductor spins. I am sure the guys at TTT could fix it up and/or if you could if you are good with that stuff. I would like to sell everything together if possible. Check or money order preferred. $165 shipped to your door OBO. Pictures are available upon request. Thank you!
  16. Love those SV103's!!!
  17. I picked up a very clean, almost new MBR GLX 783C today with the Fuji ECS gunsmoke colored reel seat. When did these go out of production? Was in when they introduced the BCR series with the recoils? What should/would one of these rods retail for and what are they worth now. Just paired mine up with a TD-Z 105H and it seems really nice! Thanks and best wishes on the water!
  18. What rod is that? I would get a new one. That is a lot of filler.
  19. My only thought was because the water was so shallow, I was thinking channel cats simply because the football shape of the carp would be more apparent. I wish I was in a boat or kayak with polarized sunglasses to find out. It seems odd that a pond that small would have carp in it. But it also could have been Jaws or Bigfoot as other members have suggested. I should have thrown some Jack Links at them and waited to see what happened!
  20. The other day/evening I was fishing a smaller lake close to me and was casting a 110 Whopper Plopper. At one location near some lily pads among the thicker weedy areas (most of the lake is thicker/clumpy weeds and stumps), I saw what looked like either a tail (top section) or dorsal fin cruising through the shallows. There were more than one so I casted near the area and the water erupted and the fish took off with a "V" on the water. In a few minutes, they were back. Were they carp? I would think if so, I would see more of the body or "shoulders" of the fish since the water couldn't be more than a foot deep in that spot. Could they be catfish and that is the dorsal fin that I was seeing? I even thought Muskie or something but with that Whopper Plopper, if they were Muskie, I figured they would have crushed it. Any help would be appreciated. Again, it's a smaller pond/lake that is typically filled with panfish, pickerel, and bass.
