  1. Sunline Supernatural 16lb. Mizu Blue
  2. Clearer outdoor view of the same combo I posted above.
  3. Dobyns Xtasy 754C with an SV103XS and some dress up parts and OG corks.
  4. Cara's were/are made in the USA. The Expert line is now an overseas model unlike the older Expert series. I don't think Falcon now will have a USA made rod if the Cara gets discontinued.
  5. It's a Doyo so it's actually a Lew's, BPS, Cabela's, Abu Garcia, Pflueger, Daiwa, etc. They all come from the same base models. The manufacturers just get to add their slight specs to match their demand. That's why I like in house made Daiwa and Shimano reels.
  6. Don't think it allows on here for the typing of the three letters in the name.
  7. 5.8:1 or 7.2:1? Looks great!
  8. Legend Glass and JDM old school CV-Z 103
  9. Looks really nice! Almost looks like they took the Tatula Sterling Silver body and added a darker rotor and gold spool. I will probably own one! Where on Instagram did you see other pictures?
  10. This was a common issue with many of the Sierra rods. Don't know why since its the same Fuji they use on all their rods.
  11. Agreed! I had an SM3600C that was on an old made in the USA All Star rod that was dynamite back in the 90s!
  12. Get the Tatula LT 3000 in the shallower spool size of the two 3000s. PERFECT reel for that rod.
  13. I was able to acquire a few of these reels. Two BB1N and two BB1NG that were made by Ryobi. These were before Browning and Quantum owned them...right after Lew Childre pulled production from Shimano to Ryobi in Japan. They do not have the disengaging button on top and are in pretty decent shape. I am sure they could use a thorough cleaning but for the most part are solid. And they cast GREAT! I know David Fritts swore by these reels for many, many years. Any idea if I sold a few of them (don't need all four) what a reasonable and fair asking price would be and if anyone would be interested, just send me a message and I can get pictures to your email address. Thanks and best wishes on the water!
  14. Is the "Shimano" emblem supposed to be sitting upright when fully locked on the turnkey part of the palming side plate? If it is upside down when fully closed, how easy is it fix? Could it have just been installed upside down from the factory? Is it can easy fix to correct? Thanks for any/all help and best wishes on the water!
  15. Looks great! And it's a Gen 1 Champion too! SiC guides on that one! Oh and that reel...:) Both beautiful but that one on the left is truly spectacular! Who painted that for you?
  16. Can anyone tell me if the Zillion is worth the extra $100 and if so why? Thanks!
  17. Not sure. Don put it on the reel when he was making it. He asked me if I like it and I said yep so he included it. It's a nice reel.
  18. Custom made Abu 4600C with CDL parts on it. Made by Don Iovino in Burbank, CA. Engraved palming side plate I also have a custom 2500C he made for me. Both of these were made and purchased in 2016. Gorgeous reels.
  19. 1959-1961 model Ambassadeur 6000. Flea market find for like $40-45. Still looks new!
  20. Agreed...I have a 2500Ci4+ that is mighty quick. As are my favorite class of reels to fish...the older (pre-LT) Daiwa 3000/3012 size in the Luvias. They have a 5.6:1 gear ratio but take in almost 38" of line per turn. Plus, the larger spool helps with line lay and I feel slightly smoother drags (maybe to the slightly larger surface area?).
  21. St. Croix Legend Tournament 7' Medium Moderate spinning...I guess it's a dynamite small shad rap rod too!
  22. TW has the Steez SV TW up to $550 and the A at $500 due to the 1/15/19 price increase. With all this new stuff coming out, I am just happy that I have my SV105s and SV103s. Newer is often nicer, but not always better.
  23. I've been doing the same now for the last year and it is awesome!!! Enjoy that setup!
