  1. Dicks sporting goods has old gen Daiwa Procyon AL spinning reels 2500 and 3000 size for $85. Regular price is $200. I have 6 of these reels and they are very solid! Note they are aluminum and thus heaver than their other LT models. https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p/daiwa-procyon-al-spinning-reel-21daiuprcynl2500sree/21daiuprcynl2500sree
  2. Midway has a 15% off fishing promotion going on use: FISHING052323. Cool part is it stacks with all existing sales/discounts and works on big ticket items like trolling motors, electronics etc. Also works on Shimano and megabass from the looks of it. Was tempted to upgrade my trolling motor to the Garmin force but couldn't justify it. Instead, I picked up a steez rod and megabass rod that were open box with 40% off then stacked the 15% on top.
  3. I love this thread because its members driven and I always find some great deals on quality stuff. But getting a sponsored link to clearance section disguised as a "moving warehouse" everything must go deal kind of sucks. Nothing against Karls, I buy from there. Just keep these on the up and up please.
  4. What's live about it? No discount or anything. I assume they will have a black friday sale but so many other shops now that ship faster and have cheaper prices. Competition is good for us
  5. Kittery trading post has 20% off 5 items and works on all megabass. Use code SHOP22. Minimum $84 purchase required and will qualify for free shipping. They do charge extra for rod shipping ($12 for me). No tax for me as well.
  6. Honestly, I think I'm done with TW. Was going to buy three new setups from them this black Friday to play around with. But never got the early invite. Then 1/2 of the combos I was going to buy became out of stock before they finally opened it up to everyone. Just does not sit right with me when I give them thousands of dollars in business. Going to branch out.
  7. Use code SMC on AFTCO's website for another 15% off site wide.
  8. FYI the code is DAIWA
  9. Rapala.com has site wide 30% discount code FISH30
  10. I have 3 Tatula LT and 4 Ballistic LT reels. Fished them hard and they are just a pleasure to use. I did pre order a vanford to try out just because it bugged me having daiwa on my only shimano spinning rod
  11. I ordered last night and just got confirmation. So it will come, they just behind.

  13. I believe thegpsstore.com has it without needing code. I actually just pulled the trigger on the $2100 livescope bundle (minus additional $200 rebate) with the 93sv from mygreenoutdoors because no tax from that website.
  14. Yup, confirm with personal experience. They literally take your money and then ignore you for a few months. Stay away if you know what's good for you.
  15. I didn't notice a big difference distance wish. Personally, I think it works great for senkos. Here in NE, there are a lot of toothy critters that steal a pack of wacky hooks a day, so I Texas rig my senkos and the stiffer action helps in hooksets. About a month ago, my st croix elite ML spinning setup flew off my boat because I didn't strap it in ... $700 gone. So i'm in market for another ML setup. I was considering getting another zbone but I do like my ML with a little softer tip.
  16. I have a 7m zbone spinning and agree its a little on the stiff side compared to my Shimano expride in the same length and power. But what I noticed is that my expride's handle is shorter and the reel sits about 1.5" lower than the zbone. So the expride actually fishes longer by 1.5" Anyways, i have a 3000 ballistic on the zbone and it fishes very well. Mostly use it for senkos and swimbaits and have boated some of my biggest fish this year. Had no problems ripping bait from the fish. I was thinking of getting a med-light to try out but after your review, i'll probably pass.
  17. I order from Discount Tackle a lot. I just use tacklewharehouse prices as benchmark. But the biggest thing for me is they are one of the few online retailers that do not charge me sale TAX in NJ which is a huge plus. They also ship out really fast. Down side is their inventory is hit or miss most of the time.
  18. The edge 3700 deep boxes are only $20 also. I picked up a couple.
  19. Boycott for one post on Facebook and probably posted by an intern in charge of social media? But hey, its your money. I bought 4 zbones from them this year and the customer service on the phone and via email were top notch. Looking at their lack of inventory, I think they are probably doing pretty well despite the price hike. At the end of the day, its as simple as supply & demand.
  20. Dick's has live target baitball spinners and hollow body sunfish lures buy 1 get 2 free. Many are already on sale for 9.99 so it comes out to $3.33 per lure. Regular price was $14. Its a flash sale where discount automatically shows in cart. Not sure how long its up for.
  21. Stay away from these guys. I really think they are a pyramid scheme. They use deep discounts to get as many orders as possible to get cash but they don't for fill most of their orders. I fell for it. After a few months, I tried to get a refund but they just ignored me. I had to pester them and complain on FB for over a month before I got my refund. There are just too many good companies out there to even consider Edge.
  22. Amazon has some Kastking royal legend rods, Demon Pro, and Perigee II rods 50% off. I just picked up the demon pro 7'11" flipping rod with some free line for $63 shipped. My demon pro frog rod I got last year has held up rather well. The reel not so much.
  23. stacked coupons work on the ENTIRE site, so don't just focus on the clearance section. I picked up some line.
  24. Saw these also, debating if I need them.
  25. I bought the 6'10 med and 7'6 heavy during the Xmas sale. They were on sale for $99 back then. They are solid rods and balance pretty well. I been using the 6'10" a lot for jerk baits, light and responsive. Have not used the 7'6" yet.
