  1. PA GAL checking in from the Pittsburgh city limits. Fish where my club fishes, as well as Yellowcreek & wherever someone'll let me get on their boat (co-angler). and wherever the WBT fishes.
  2. Berlin & Mosquito in OH shouldn't be that far from Cranberry (within 2 hours). There's always Erie! Edinboro is a fun little lake that is unlimited HP.
  3. I hear ya... or from PA! I thought about doing the Opens this year- there is a northern division this year with only 3 tournaments. The entry fees are slightly less and would be cheaper yet because there are less tournaments. They are closer, so gas would be less expensive. But, I'm stickin' with the WBT. Other than the $$$, I like traveling & meeting other women who fish & I can learn from. However, I am also a Federation member (less than a handful of women in my state) and competed in all 3 of my district events and the championship. Didn't have to drive more than 5 hrs. for any of them and the entry fees are VERY cheap. I'm just saying that some of us do try the other tours, as well, and don't have a problem fishing with the guys. I don't have a boat yet, so for me, I'll do it for the experience. Go Kim!
  4. If you will be in Ebensburg, you can't pass up Glendale Lake (Gallitzin). Its pretty close.
  5. they sell a hot spots map for shenango.
  6. try erie quest charters and if you do, tell Capt. Rick Pittsburgh Reeler sent you. his website is www.eriequest.com
  7. And I'm sure you don't need reminded to go to Giant Eagle and buy a Dick's gift card first before you shop so you can get the gas points as well!!! Don't forget to ask for duplicate receipts so you can send in for the rebates on certain prodcuts (Berkeley usually has rebates.)!! Don't mess with a master bargain hunter! Geez, why did I get started...
  8. Along those lines, if you never signed up for ScoreCard, do so! I have been getting coupons for lures like once a month, for 10 or 20% off total lure purchase, including those on sale.
  9. Thanks, man! I did pretty good in my club tournament at Berlin- 4th place!!
  10. My favorite is Yellowcreek Lake- for fishing and sentimental reasons.
  11. LCM- No problem, always happy to help!! Brett- I couldn't fish Crooked Creek with my comrades because I was fishing the Women's Bassmaster Tournament in Lewisville, TX. I placed 43 out of 83 co-anglers. On the first day, I did catch fish, though, and one keeper. 2nd day I got totally skunked :'( so I did not make it to the third day. But, catching one is something, I'm on the board with points. I'll hope for better weather and conditions at Lake Neely Henry next month!!! I have a tourney at Berlin this Saturday. I got totally skunked at Loyalhanna, by the way! Good luck, everyone, looks like the weather may finally be breaking- YAY!
  12. Lucky Craft- I have seen a few G. Loomis rods up at Sportsman's Warehouse up on Mt. Nebo point. It is a great store, they have some items not found elsewhere (a few Lake Fork Lures, for example). Some items seem cheaper, some not, so that is spotty. I'm not sure they have the model you are looking for, but its the only store I've seen that has 'em. What about Cabela's? That's not too too far, you could probably round up some friends and make a half a day out of it, anyway. At least they alway have a bunch of other stuff on sale to make it worthy of the gas $$.
  13. you could try erie quest charters. www.eriequest.com not sure if that's close to you or not. but if you do, tell Capt. Rick I sent you!
  14. well, i was only there once but it seemed pretty big to me and a nice store. the one in Washington, PA is even bigger. then again, i wasnt shopping for baits in J-town, just went in over the holidays. sometimes you are better off trying to find things at walmart if you want the cheapest prices, but I find that Gander is pretty reasonable. maybe not that one.
  15. i fished Berlin once. Can you spell S-K-U-N-K-E-D?? lol. There was a nice section with lots of trees coming out of the water, looked perfect habitat. But no fish. >
