As a "seasoned citizen" retired in southeast Florida without a boat, my fishing juices flow only in local ponds and canals where I ply my self-taught fly fishing skills using kit-built rods (4-pc, 9', 4, 6 and 8wt), and a boatload of hand-tied flies.  ... Recently I renewed my bait caster outfit to provide a viable substitute for high wind days too disruptive to fly fishing.
