  1. I am not sure if Terry is still painting he has had some health issues.
  2. Those old Bombers and Hellbenders are good bass cathing lures and that is worth a lot. Looks like you might have some Hot Spots also.
  3. Watching six "experts" dissect every part of a game,Super Bowl, BCS championship , the NCAA tourney or any other, and telling you who is going to win and why. These guys can go on forever and are seldom right. Just play it!
  4. Bigger hooks maybe??
  5. Have someone hold a seine in a narrow spot in the riffles and go up stream and turn over rocks as you work towards the seine. If you hit the right spot it won't take long to have enough for a days fishing.
  6. If you click on the fishing articles at the top of this page you will get some excellent answers. You might want to read Fishing 101.
  7. You betcha!! If you have any streams with smalmouth in them you definitely want to have a bucket of them.
  8. It makes a bait more visible and therefore easier to find thus it gets more strikes. I guess you can call it a triggering device. And the guys that make these are not dumb they know if that bait is going to sell well and make money for them it needs to be a bait that gets bit more often.
  9. In Ohio it has always been illegal to use more than three hooks on one line.
  10. Processing all of the information you have for that time, place, and conditions, to come up with the proper location to fish, the proper presentation, and the right bait for that particular time and conditions.
  11. I think another thing that has hurt Shimano over the past few years is the competition is producing some pretty good reels of their own. Every bit as well built and some more economically priced. I think you can get a Revo S for 129 bucks and it is a real good piece of equipment for that price.
  12. My advice to those who don't catch fish on crankbaits is to just keep fishing them, fish them hard and long and don't give up, you can cover a lot of water fast and fish many types of cover and structure. Once you start getting fish you will see how easy it can be. If you keep it up, at the end of the season they could be your number one bait.
  13. 4 and 6 inch Berkley Power Worms Paca craws RI Sweet Beaver black, black and blue, junebug
  14. Here is another you can get paks of 25 for $7.50 nice selection http://www.illusionbaits.com/soft-plastics.html
  15. Since we no longer have a sponsor that does this I guess it is OK to post this. You might try Wermie Ernie's 570 698 8542 I could not find a web site for him. I bought some hand poured beaver style baits from him some years back and they were real nice.
  16. If the new Lew's reels are anything like the old ones were they are excellent. Those old reels were ahead of their time.
  17. Penrose sauges, pepperoni peppers and crackers
  18. We should send every terrorist a free one.
  19. They catch bass you can bet on that. I think the color is more important than the scent, bass are just not scent feeders. But I think it might make them hang onto a bait a little while longer. They do work and smelling those things all day long made me hungry!
  20. I use my 6 foot rods every time I go out they are just as important in the scheme of things as my 7 footers. I love those old pistol grips.
  21. I have to agree with this. I love ultra light and I have caught a ton of smallmouth in the streams around here. But you have to be careful about how much fun you have because the stress will kill the fish.
  22. The square bills were a very good bait for me last year. Caught plenty of bass and no issues at all with them.
  23. Well I guess the fishing lobbyist did a good job so it looks like we can still use lead. Whether you are for against this issue I think it is a good thing that we have once again stopped the goverment from running our lives.
  24. When the going gets tough the tough get going.
  25. I think Dance might get a lot of information from Dr Jones, they were pretty tight at one time.
