  1. After 50 plus years of bass fishing at the end of the day, which comes sooner every year, I have pain in my hands, wrists, elbows, and shoulders. If it built muscles I would look like Mr. Arnold. And I won't quit.
  2. After you jerk the bait make sure you snap your rod back to the lure to allow some slack this gives the lure freedom to move.
  3. I fished them for the first time this week and was just wowed by the action of those claws. I have fished all kinds of soft baits for years and have never seen one with that kind of action. I plan on working them pretty hard this year.
  4. I would stay with the natural colors. Watermelon, Watermelon seed, pumpkinseed. Those colrs should work for you.
  5. Thank you. Very interesting, I didn't know that. I bet they are the Yum Vibra King tubes.
  6. I am looking for a source for these. I have searched the web and tried several online tackle shops with no results. Does anybody know where I can find these?
  7. Wickyman maybe you have the answer. Maybe they just have really bad action in the water. They may look natural but don't swim that way.
  8. I bought some of the MadMan craws when they first came out and they looked so good I thought I was going to kill the bass. But boy what a disapointment. How are you rigging and fishing those?
  9. I have some of the old ones and some of the newer ones and I can't tell the difference by looking at them. I guess I am missing something.
  10. I would have to take a photo of my garage with an extreme wide angle lens to show you all of my tackle. Where on earth did it all come from and how did it get here?
  11. There are some real good, realistic looking craws available that look so much like the real thing. I have several different brands and have caught some bass on them. But the "chunks" or craw imitators such as Paca craws and a few others seem to outfish the real looking ones by far. I can't figure that out. Does anyone else have the same results?
  12. Over the years I have expierenced days when just very subtle changes in color were the only difference between a large catch and nothing at all. So I am a big believer that bass do see colors and have definite preferences.
  13. I have used Fenwicks for years, but I never heard of that one. That is a heavy duty rod for sure. Try it with soft plastics or jigs.
  14. I only have one. If I don't go fishing I think I will die.
  15. I would put water temp and clarity at the top of the list.
  16. The adjustment for ph was made by putting the probe into Visine or Murine, the manual told what the exact ph of that solution was. The adjustment was made by opening the unit and adjusting a poteniometer. But if I remember right their are two and I don't remember exactly which one it was. I also can't tell you the ph of the solutions. If you can figure those out it is very easy to do. Sorry I couldn't help more.
  17. Are they a suspending bait?
  18. While I was at Cabela's one day I picked up what they called a German ruck sack for twenty bucks. I am going to use it in my boat for my soft baits. It looks like an old Army bag and has straps like a back pack. It has a lot of room in it and you should be able to get a lot of plastic boxes in it. Should be perfect for bank fishing.
  19. Chip just thinks his lures are worth more. Try Terry Clark, the guy does great work and his prices are fair. tclarkcustomlures.com
  20. What ever you do make sure you buy a true floating worm. Most of them are not. The best might be Strike King Triple X. I am using tungsten jig heads.
  21. Good question and one that I have always wondered about. If those 350 dollar rods and 500 dollar reels are that great. Wouldn't it make sense that a guy who is fishing for really big bucks use the very best to get just the slightest edge? I mean after all if he doesn't win no one will want to sponsor him.
  22. What do you all think of their crankbaits?
  23. We all know that the Pointers, Slender Pointers, Sammys, and LVs are all great bass catchers. But how about some of their other baits. I have heard some negative things about some of them. What do you all think? Is there some you wish you had not spent all of that money on?
  24. I am ready for some reruns of Gadabout Gaddis.
  25. I used it last season and I really liked it. It did start to get stiff in the fall, but it was getting close to changing it any how.
