  1. I heard they are coming out with a senior citizen version of this called You just don't look good naked anymore. :'(
  2. You will just have to win the Classic with it.
  3. There has been a decrease in interest of the outdoors among adults. Sales of hunting and fishing license show a steady decrease every year. I take my grandson and his friends out on the water and in the woods and they all love it. And they are a lot of fun.
  4. My best has been Camo and Junebug, particularly the Berkley version. Black with blue fleck or a blue tail is also very good along with Green Pumpkin and Watermelon of course. But I keep buying all of the latest to try.
  5. This might sound dumb, but since that bait was not pulled down on the hook. Could those have been Bluegill bites?
  6. I doubt Gary Yamamoto will lose sleep due to your opinion. : He'll lose sleep when his sales plummet and I think there are plenty who will not pay that much for any of his baits. We'll see, time will tell.
  7. A $1.20 a piece for a plastic worm is absurd. How can Gary Yammatto justify that? Does any one think that it costs him even .50 a piece to make those things? I don't. As long as that bait has been on the market the process should be very efficient and costs even less than they were originally. I think he has made a big mistake with that price increase given the state of the economy a lot of guys won't be buying at all and most that do are not going to pay that price, I hope they sit on the shelves and rot. How about it Gary, do you want to come on this site and try to justify your price? Or have you become too greedy and arrogant? There is a principal here, and I will not buy another Yammatto product until they are priced more fairly. >
  8. I caught plenty of bass on them years ago and I bet they are still a good bait
  9. Sounds like you did very well without anyone's advice. I assume on the second day you put in at Rayland? That area is surprisingly good for smallmouth. My choice would have been from Powhaton south with all of those big creeks to fish near and you have the power plants also. I am not second guessing you , you did just fine where you were.
  10. Hey St C they are catching sauger and small walleye at Pike Island dam most of them are using a twist tail grub on a jig. Where are you heading?
  11. Thanks for that site, I have never heard of it but will sure give it a try. Looks like the next best thing to camo is green pumpkin so I mlght have to be happy with that. Thanks everyone for your help.
  12. .have you ever fished anything else Of course I have, I have been fishing that lake for over 50 years and I have used about every bait and color you can imagine. The Berkley camo works on that lake it is THE hot color. I wish I could take you guys out for a day of side by side fishing and let you see for yourselves. Thanks for the suggestions. :-/
  13. Thanks for the suggestions everyone, but it has to be That particular worm, nothing else worked as well. The four inch worm at Tackle Warehouse is it but three inches too short.
  14. There is a small lake in this area where I used to catch a whole lot of bass on the Berkley 7 inch power worm with the hook or sickle tail, color camo. Of course they discontinued that particular bait but still make them in the four inch version. I ran out and can't find them anywhere. Does anyone have any that they would want to get rid of? Or does anyone know who might still have them? Thanks in advance.
  15. Thanks for the heads up on the Beaver Bug Natural. I do very well with the Sweet Beaver and just about any soft bait in the roadkill camo color. Guess I better get an order off to BPS.
  16. I have never been to a BPS store, I guess the closest one is Cincinnatti which is three hours away.I am only eleven miles away from the Wheeling Cabela's though and it has a good selection of fishing tackle. Their sale starts March 5th. Actually that place is too darn close I spend all of my beer money there.
  17. I agree, be very careful with them. I would do a search for antique lures and see what the experts have to say.
  18. That would be great, they have a big following here.
  19. You probably should ask that question on an antique lure collecting forum, sure wouldn't want to ruin the finish on those old treasures.
  20. I have tried them both and the Paca is just better all around. I won't buy any more Rage craws.
  21. Inserts kill the sensitivity of tungsten. If you are using inserts you might as well be using lead.
  22. Tungsten weights are the one small addition to our expensive, sensitive rods and lines that help give us the full benefit of the sensitivity we pay for. If you fish soft plastics Texas rigged they are a must have.
  23. Tungsten is extremely sensitive and while expensive they are worth it. I wish they would improve there jigs though baits don't stay on them very well.
  24. I noticed a Rage Tail link at the bottom of your post. Are you sponsored by Rage Tail?
