  1. Are the new ones with the two part bill as good as the old ones?
  2. It would be very, very unusual to have a long wait to lock through on the Ohio.
  3. I can remember fishing them that way back in the early 60's. We just called them "side hooked". We always fished that way because we thought that was the way you were supposed to do it. Caught a lot of bass out of the strip pits that way.
  4. I have been buying from them for years and they are excellent. Try some of their knock off stuff it's pretty darn good. I bought some of their shallow cranks a few years ago and have caught a ton of bass on them.
  5. Very small crank baits
  6. They may be the best assortment of soft baits available. I have not used one that doesn't catch fish.
  7. I wish the bait manufacturers would bring baits back as the original instead of changing the mold someway. Maybe it is economics, but it seems they would sell more if they were the same.
  8. These baits have been around for years and are still on the market. They used to be real good in this area, especially the Hot N Tot. Anyone still having good success with these timeless old baits?
  9. I caught a 38 pound flathead catfish the other day on one and fought him for 25 minutes. The lure looks as good as new.
  10. I fish them all of the time and I never had that happen. Use a very light weight, they work just as well. These may be the very best soft plastic bait you can buy.
  11. I just got mine and they sure pass the look test. I have not had a chance to fish them yet, but they sure look good.
  12. If you learn to fish them right they will catch lockjaw bass when nothing else will.
  13. I'm sorry, but it just has not been proven to me. I have never been out fished by anyone I was sharing a boat with that was using scent when I was not.
  14. They are a waste of $$$. Use your under arm deodorant it will work just as well. Bass are not scent feeders.
  15. I have one of the shads and it is a great looking, well made bait but I just can't get it to run right. I have tried everything and I am usually successful tuning a plug, but not this time. Guess I just got a bad one but I will try more.
  16. I catch a few on this and a few on that, just can't seem to figure out what they want. The conditions seem to change every day. The lake is up, it is down, the barometer the same, the wind changes directions every day and we keep getting one front after another. Most unsettled spring weather I can remember.
  17. Seems to me that I read somewhere that it is the plastic worm.
  18. Not my buzzbait.
  19. This seems to happen all of the time with fishing lures, Rage Tail and just about everyone else copied the Paca Craw. And Berkley almost duplicated the Mad Man craw. If somebody comes out with a lure that works there are going to be knock offs and you can bet on that.
  20. I still use the Jitterbug and still catch bass with them. I think the pike fisherman are still using Daredevils.
  21. An expensive rod might make you a better fisherman, but it won't necessarily make you a good fisherman. I believe that some people just have a better sense of feel or more concentration than others. And therefor would do better with a cheap rod than a bad fisherman could do with a very expensive rod. You can buy the most expensive running shoe made but you may not set a new world record.
  22. I T rig them and they catch a lot of bass. They are an excellent bait.
  23. Power Baits are as good or better than any other soft baits on the market.
  24. I don't think it will be a problem at all. There is evidence that the odor of smoke does not repel bass, maybe they will like it.
  25. If I could only use one bait anywhere anytime it would be a Kalin's or Chompers 3 to 5 inch curly tail grub on a jig head.
