  1. It is indeed!
  2. Here's a better angle for ya. Gentlemen, I grew up only catching gar, bass, catfish, and blue hill. I assumed it was a gar and should've looked it up. So thank you for the correction.
  3. Well then I stand corrected, thank you gentlemen!
  4. Went to Big Creek Lake this evening with the family and caught 3 small bass and a gar on the yaks. Water temp was a steady 63.33 degrees. The bass really like the dark purple Yum worms on a texas rig. Always a great time on the water especially if ya get to spend it with your family.
  5. This is from about 3 weeks ago with my son! Only fish we caught but it was fun!
  6. USAF AMMO! 2006-2013. Medically retired. IYAAYAS! Thanks all for your service!
  7. Sweet! I've been looking for a way to do an anchoring system, and of all the things I've made out of PVC, I never even thought of that! Thanks for the quick reply on that man!
  8. Is that a PVC anchor pole? If so, how well does that work?
  9. I first fished from a sit in pelican kayak, and just recently purchased an Old town Topwater 106. I'm loving it, granted I've only been out on it twice now. I really love the capabilities of kayak/canoe fishing. I mean I don't have to tell anyone who already owns one, but it's so much better than sharing a boat with someone, even though that is still great to have close company. Anyone have any pointers on cold water bassing?
  10. Anyone else use a kayak to fish?
  11. Thanks all for the welcoming! The bass were rolling at Big Creek Lake today, just couldn't get a bit on anything my son or I threw. However, a bad day at fishing is always better than a good day at work. It really wasnt a bad day though. My son and I spent some quality time together and in the outdoors. It's not always about catching something, it's about building that bond and passing it down to the next generation.
  12. I've been bass fishing since I was 7 or 8. Still not that good at it, but trying to improve. It's always about improving. I'm looking for places to bass fish. Any other South Alabama fishers know some spots to drop the kayak in to fish?
