  1. How about a finesse jig or a traditional jig.
  2. Want to try and to some drop shot from the banks. Dont know if this will work but some of the banks i fish are kinda steep so i figure it would be a good idea to try. i have an 6'6" ugly stick with 15lb braid and a 10lb FC leader as well as a cabelas 6'6" medium rod with 10lb FC. will those work. they dont seem to be that sensitive of a rod for that kind of fishing. i mostly fish a ned rig, wacky or weightless texas rig. im also looking for a little more sensitive rod to possibly replace the cabelas one. when i get hit i dont know anyting is one until i give it a twitch and there she is.
  3. The area I'm fishing is either heavy rocks from the old quarry or thick grass. Thank you i do have 2 casting rods that are both medium power but i dont know how the action is. My Abu Garcia has 12lb FC on it right now. Im gong to give that a shot. i have two casting rods now. my Abu Garcia has 12lb FC on it. all the jigs i currently own are all 3/4oz. Are there any colors you would recommend? Black/Blue. Brown. Green Pumpkin. Green pumpkin has been working for me on the lake.
  4. Thanks for the info. is it better to jig around rocks or grass? Thank you very much for the info. I have a few jigs but they are all 3/4oz booyah and either black and blue or green pumpkin. is there a reason you choose mono or a FC leader? Thats the best joke ever!
  5. I have only been fishing now for a few years. I mostly fish from the bank and use only medium power rods. i mostly fish with Ned rigs and wacky rigs. Every now and then a spinner or in-line spinner. i want to get into jig fishing. I am guessing I would need a Medium Heavy rod but what kind of line and jigs should i stake with? the area I mostly fish is an old sand quarry and is either covered with vegetation or really rocky.
