    Fishing in 2020

Just a little fishing from last year
  2. Does anyone use a swimming worm? If so what do you use and where. Looking to try something in a lake that has heavy nasty grass, lillipads and some rocks. Would this also be good for small or large mouth bass? and would it work on a river too?
  3. I am going to look into a more powerful rod. Was thinking of a Lews or Fenwick medium heavy rod but haven’t decided on the reel.
  4. Looking to try my luck on drop shot, Texas and Carolina Rigs this year. My go to is always a ned rig or a Texas weightless. I’m using a 7’ medium-light action spinning rod with 10lb braid and a 10LB fluorocarbon leader. I’m also using 2 medium action bait caster with 10LB braid on one and the other is 15lb fluorocarbon. Thinking of picking up a new rod if needed. Just looking for some simple tried and true baits for drop shot, Texas and Carolina Rigs. Will be fishing from the bank mostly or from a kayak on smaller lakes and streams.
  5. It’s not bad. Nice to get out on and be away from it all. I lonely live about 10 mins from there.
  6. The biggest thing I’m looking for is that it’s a real good paddler. I’ll use the pedal for fishing then when I go on my few camping trips or just for a cruise down the creeks and small water with my friends, I can paddle with them. No one else has a pedal drive or even a fishing kayak for that matter.
  7. Thanks for all the information everyone. I’m mostly go fishing around my local watering holes. But I do have a trip planned next summer that’s a 3 day camping trip. The nucanoe flint is super light and I can buy the pedal drive later on. Not looking to buy any kind of motor tho. Going to stick with the pedal. Don’t have a Hobie dealer close tho. The local dealer has nucanoes. Bonafide. Jackson and few other.
  8. Which nucanoes do that have? Flint? Do they use it for long distance trips or over nights.
  9. Ok. Thanks. I’ve never done one but want to see what it would cost and I would need for them to reproduce my catch. That way I can still let the fish go at least.
  10. I was looking at a nucanoe flint or a bonafide SS127. The nucanoe can get a pedal drive but the bonafide can only get some motorized options. The nucanoe is also much lighter than the bonafide.
  11. Wanting to upgrade to a new fishing kayak. Want it mainly for fishing but have a couple of weekend camping trips planed. Should I get a pedal drive. Or some kinds of electric powered? What’s your favorite brands and why?
  12. Looking for some information on recreation mounts. What measurements do I need? Do I have to keep the fish or can I just take a few measurements and let it go?
