Hello, I've been fishing a reservoir for some years with some success. After reading a bunch here, I realize I'm catching fish when its easiest. I'm leaving the best fishing untouched.
I know of an area, a large cove, where I'll place a row boat. This area has shallows, spawning area, grass, hard structure, blow down and deep water. I've noticed while I catch fish from shore early, larger fish bust on what appears to be the flats before another drop off. I've studied the maps and identified that area. As the sun rises all gets quiet. This cove faces south. When the level was low I waded an old submerged road that appeared to go off in the direction of an underwater point and caught my biggest fish here early.
What do you think about this location and how would you fish it at different times of day?
