  1. What’s minimum weight you would use?
  2. help me understand the skip method. “Max magnets”. Is that say max on side magnets and max on inside centrifugal? Or do you leave centrifugal at the normal?
  3. I assume when pitching that all the breaks on the centrifugal are turned off? Magnetic turned down lower as you progress?
  4. Hey that’s pretty simple to understand. I like the video and how it shows what they are doing. thanks for finding that.
  5. Can someone help me understand the duel braking system on these baitcasters. When are the centrifugal and magnetic brakes applied? Is one for beginning and the other for the middle of the cast? I have an abu Garcia black max and it just has magnetic. Pretty simple to set up.
  6. Ya, I guess I didn't think about that. Good point.
  7. What size reel you get on these? I’m looking at ordering one. Looking at Daiwa Regal LT 2500.
  8. What lure weight are these rods rated for? What line recommendation as well?
  9. I guess if the weight is not pegged then the fish can take a little bit of the lure without the feel of the bullet weight.
  10. I fish a lot of deep lakes and have some bullet weights from 3/8 to 1/4oz. Is 3/8 too much weight to be pegged at the nose of a worm or brush hog ? It gets it down to the bottom and in deep lakes that helps but is it too much weight for a fish to hold on to it? Should I use those weights in C-Rig applications instead of pegging at the nose?
  11. So I was looking at getting this. Medium light 6’6”. I use mostly light lures and have trouble casting my bps pro qualifier 2 on medium casting rod with 1/4oz lures. Need 3/8oz or bigger which I typically don’t use. I like 1/8 and 1/4 oz swimbaits. You say that throws 1/8 pretty good. What size and type of line you using ?
  12. I I see it is rated for 1/16 oz to 1/2 oz. How well does it cast 1/16 oz without getting backlashes? I see it is rated for 1/16 oz to 1/2 oz. How well does it cast 1/16 oz without getting backlashes?
  13. What’s everyone do with the remainder of their braided line after spooling their reel? I buy these 150yard Sufix 832 and have a significant amount left. It would not spool another reel. Seems like a waste. Easy with fluorocarbon because I can use it as leader material.
  14. I fount the President at Wal-Mart for $37. Could not pass it up. It feels solid. I was upgrading from a shakespeare so I bet I'll be happy with it. I have another Pflueger I got years ago. It came with two spools though.
