My NED rod is Dobyns FR702SF 7' Med/Light, Fast Action, 6-12# line, 1/8-1/2 oz. There are alot of rods out there now from budget to custom and from inexpensive to break the bank.

Yes, some braids are not coated and the dye will come off.

I started to use the Red Phillips knot for braid/fc leader. Easy to tie and very small.

I use 65# on my froggin setup, need the extra strength to get out of the lily pads if snagged.

What about using a small o ring?
