  1. My setup is 7' Perigee ll MH/F with 2000 Spinning spooled 10B and 10FC leader. Works well for me fishing from the bank. May increase the # test on the braid .
  2. Here is a possibility KK Speed Demon Pro Mag Swimbait rod 8'MF/EH , 20-50#test, 2-8 oz lures, 12 guides $139.99
  3. The Kastking Assegai Free Style or Sweet Caroline both are 7'6 MH/F. Difference is the number of guides.
  4. Started to use the Topwater Speed Clips
  5. I go back to the same pond numerous times, fish in different spots. The conditions are always changing. Some days are good and others are terrible.
  6. What temp are you heating your plastic to?
  7. You can use a gear ratio from 5.4:1 to 6.1:1 or for a faster retrieve 7.2:1. I am using 6.1:1 but for smaller(shallow) lipless cranks I use a spinning setup.
  8. I have been using KVD for a few years now on all my lines. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/search-tackle.html?start=0&count=20&searchtext=KVD+Line+Conditioner
  9. Dirty Jig Finesse Swim Jig https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Dirty_Jigs_Finesse_Swim_Jig/descpage-DJFISWJ.html
  10. Cheaper to replace it then lose a bunch of lures.
  11. Good luck Clayton
  12. I use a mixture of name brands of crankbaits. There are always pretty good sales on all the major tackle dealer websites. Also checkout your local shops. I didn't like the ones from Temu or Ali what you see is not what you get IMO.
  13. My number 1 is the Ned, followed by small lures and paddle tails
  14. I have a few 2 pc rods from Kastking, they use a spigot ferrule system. Now called Power Transtion System on the newer models. Never had any issue with them. I don't know about other brands. If you have any questions feel free to message me.
  15. You need to do what is best for you. If using a BC causes you pain then by all means go to spinning. It is what you feel comfortable with. There are certain situations where a spinning reel my not work as well as as baitcaster IMO. Just go out enjoy fishing with what works for you.
  16. Jigs- Tripolymer 15# Chatterbaits-Straight Braid 40# Small Lipless Cranks-Tripolymer 15#-Spinning gear Cranks-Braid/FC Topwater- Flouro 15# I have both baitcasting and spinning setups depening on the size of the lures I am using.
  17. Not a Bill Lowens rod. I am using a KK Speed Demon Pro rod labeled as a Carolina rod it is 7'6" F/MH. So what I am saying there are so many other brands of rods that you can use as a swim jig rod if you can't find that particular rod.
  18. I have an unopened bottle, lucky me
  19. Kastking Speed Demon Pro Mag Swim Bait Rod. This is an 8' rod MF/EH
  20. I wish I could..... Some brands don't have the exact bait that you specifically want as to style, colors etc. For example some brands stick worms are better then another brand. We also need to keep the bait monkey fed.
  21. I net when needed, must fish I handle with care for catch and release.
  22. That is great news
  23. Look at High Speed Oil from Boca Bearings also Spool Speed SF Lube from Spoolspeed.com What I have been using is ReelX oil. This stuff is really good. www.corrosionx.com
