Joined this forum since I've always come to it for gear advice so I decided why not. I've been fishing since I can remember with my first catch being a green sunfish on a rapala and since then I have just kept adding on the species of fish. The moment that really got me hooked was throwing a storm wildeye swimshad from the end of a dock and having a 5+ pound bass hammer the shad. I never really "hooked" him so his tail walk threw the hook with ease. It has just gone downhill from there. Learned how to flyfish after moving to a more trout friendly area of the state; after a 22 fish day had to teach my dad. Now I fish whenever I can in regardless conditions. Can't wait to get more involved in this great forum and learning along the way.
