  1. Thanks guys for the help! I’ll assume it’s a scam and check if anything is wrong with my bank account.
  2. During Black Friday I went to look for a salmon rod to buy online. I stumbled upon a store that is called fishingtackle-store.com I found a good deal on a rod and ordered it. This site seemed legit. They are located in Malaysia and I hoped it wasn’t a scam. I’m just wondering if anyone here knows that site. It’s been over 2 weeks and they say delivery takes 3 weeks. I feel like I got scammed.
  3. My Dads friend went to Montana few weeks ago to a big lake with really shallow water for pike and they had lots of success, I definitely will love to go to Montana some time. It is definitely a far drive but I bet it is worth it.
  4. The problem is this lake is heavily pressured so finesse is key here, but I have never experienced fishing this late in the year and theres lots of rain. Cold plus pressured fish confuses me on the water
  5. What do I do on a small lake that maximum depth Is 15 feet and its basically shallow everywhere, plus the cold fronts and winter coming up?
  6. I was there few years ago in late September and had no luck either. Ive heard multiple reports of the insane pike fishery there, my brothers and I launched near Harrison and tried fishing weeds with spinnerbaits on a cloudy day, water was really warm and not even a bite. We later went into a cove and saw some good pike swimming around and could not get them to bite. I wish I was more experienced with what presentations would go well. I never caught a pike and its on my bucket list, sadly Washington state does not have any pike except few places in eastern Washington.
  7. hey everyone! It has definitely been tough for me lately in the small lakes around king county area, I am probably calling the bass season over and going to get ready for the chum salmon run in November. I don't get out much to fish, but I try to learn the lakes and see the best way to approach the fish. I am not experienced by any means, but I was wondering any local fisherman having tough times? I would love to get some tips on maybe what conditions and time of year is the best to have success out on the water, as well as presentations go because I have heard that small baits are key around Washington state. Every state is different and I am not sure how late does the bass fishing go here and when it starts for the pre spawn. I feel as if though a lot of the local lakes receive too much pressure, I constantly hear people that I meet on the water say there are toads in the lakes but wont bite. One of my favorite ponds near my house constantly would produce 5 plus pounders every week, and over the years it has been trashed and fished too hard which frustrates me. Eastern Washington has amazing fishery on the other hand, and feel as if its the best bet to travel farther away from the local area for more success. I hope you guys are having luck out there, again any tips and recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Can't wait for next spring!
  8. Sadly none of the stores carry rods that I mentioned, I am considering now the Avid 7'0 M Fast action though. I would love to get a g loomis but I did not hear good reviews about the e6x, Ive seen that they came out with a new version. I don't know how much it is better compared to the old one but my brother owns a few and they seem alright. I wanted to get a shimano zodias at first but it frustrates me with the fact that the actions on the higher end shimano rods are not meant for all around techniques which bummed me out. It will either be the Dobyns sierra or st Croix avid.
  9. Isn't X-Fast made for lighter wire hooks? To be specific I am only going to be using shakey heads and wacky/weightless senkos pretty much on it. The shakey heads I use are Owner Ultrahead and I assume they are not light wire as well as the gamakatsu ewg hooks 1/0-2/0. Will the St Croix avid 7'0 medium fast work for 1/8-1/4?
  10. Hey guys! I have been bass fishing for about 3 years now and I learned a lot about the sport not only with the fish but tackle and equipment. I have been looking to upgrade to a nice medium action spinning rod around in the 200$ price range. The techniques I will be mainly using it on will be 1/8-3/16 ounce shakey heads, 1/6 ounce ned rig, weightless senkos and wacky rigs and few 1/4 light wire lures. I have been looking into shimanos, Dobyns, st Croix and g loomis rods but none of the companys offer what I mostly want except the Dobyns sierra and champion xp rods where I was considering them. I was looking for your guys input for what rod would be the best pick for me preferably from the companys I mentioned since they are mostly popular.
