Right now in SW Louisiana the Tokyo rig is catching as long as it’s a super slow presentation and with a lure that doesn’t have a whole crap ton of movement. The Tokyo rig “wire” is much stiffer than that of the Jika rig and I believe longer. Just my experience as far as the difference in the two though.
Caught on a 1/8oz Texas Rigged BPS River bug in watermelon with red flake. No scale and when I tried to take a pic with him laid down next to my rod and reel he about flopped onto some thick brush. My guess was between 3-4lbs though, quite possibly my PR if I had my scale.
Most of mine came on the 2.4 inch Dark Sleeper believe it or not. Even on the back side of Conway where the grass was thick I still caught them one after the other.
I usually have good luck with a 6th Sense swim jig with a small trailer like a Keitech or a 3.8 inch SK swimbait.
There’s no denying that. I had been looking for a smaller profile frog and just so happen to see their top water video last week i think. As for the trash fish, I’ve seen so many people talk about them and rave about them so I had to give it a shot lol.
Rather small purchase compared to most others on here but I’m pumped about this package. Not sure which one I’m more excited about but the trash fish I can’t wait to tie on. Little Allen color and Bluegill on the frogs. Just Shad and ghost hitch for the trash fish
I’ve got a pair of the Magellan brand boat shoes that look similar to the under Armour Kilchis. They’re awesome. Have the elastic laces that are tension based and breathe really well.
Tacklewarehouse has some special edition colors that are legit. But as for regular Keitechs:
Pro Blue Pearl
Crystal Shad
Sight Flash
silver flash minnow
