  1. So did it work? Went out to Piney Run Lake. Came up empty. Was only out there an hour or so. Fished the floating dock and down the lake trail to the cove. If it wasn't for my 6 year old complaining she was cold i probably could have found a better spot. But read fishing the points during windy conditions is really what you want to do. Started with Powder Whopper plopper, switched to shaky head craw then threw on the 2-4 foot crankbait. haven't fished in 30 years and thought getting back into it would be fun, guess i shouldn't lose faith after 3 outings. Or the longer i go when i finally do get one i'll be hooked for good. pun intended. lol
  2. Thanks! I figured they are a bit deeper at BH. I don't know about Gambrill but it was on the state website about a pond near the campground. Also thought about going up to Thurmont Catoctin area at Hunting Creek Lake or Frank Bentz but i think those are more stocked trout waters. Which is fine. Just saw they stocked Great Seneca Creek with 500 trout. Where do people fish there?
  3. Went twice to Black Hills and came up empty. But did see a beaver cruise right past me. Probably laughing at me. Saw a ton of people out on boats or kayaks. I just bank fish. Curious if i need to find a new location or is it possibly the fishing from the bank issue. Live near Frederick any other good spots? Heard mouth of Monocacy for smallies and Piney Run Reservoir. Gambrill State Park or Urbana Fish Management areas any good?
