  1. Fish and ride what you can afford ! That being said brand war is pretty common on almost everything, sadly
  2. Won't use mine before a month or so so looking on reading your feedback !
  3. I just bought a Shimano SLX for 99CAD. Its a 7'2" h/f and I mostly fish from a kayak
  4. Im using Line rate to chose Line. Keep in mind that 20# is the mono line diameter, a braid line same size Will be Much Stronger than that !
  5. Link for the spool ? Might be interested
  6. Feel the same here. I drive a sub-compact and can fit 7'11" rods in it. People tend to suggest spending more on reels usually do so regarding baitcasters btw... But its not as true today as it once was !
  7. I loved my Shimano Sahara 2500FE but I might just have a new crush on Piscifun Carbon X. I love my Citica 200e too.
  8. I have a flushmount holder facing forward on my right side for that job. I can carry 9 in my truck's ceiling rack and 7 on the yak but i own like 20-25 including a few flyfishing setup and a couple of trout rods...
  9. A lower ratio is usually advised for deep diver crankbaits. You could also use it to force you to slow down if you, like I am, are unable to slow down your motion on your own.
  10. I own a 7' MF spinning and 7' MHF spinning and casting. Use the spinnings for tubes and the casting for lighter bottom bouncing lures (under 1/2) The spinnings are definitely fishing lighter than St. Croix Mojo equivalent. They are lighter and more sensitive but slightly more expensive. Cabelas in Ottawa use to Carry most Aetos line-up
  11. Right handed, cast with both depending on how I cast. Reel righty both spinning and casting... Now that I've just been diagnosed as a psycho, I'll go see a doc ?
  12. This is pretty much what I use for Brook trout fishing, tad long though...
  13. Im looking at either the KK Speed Demon Pro 7'2" frog Rod (if they can stop taking Canadian customers for 3rd world customers) or Shimano SLX 7'2" HF rod for the same purpose
  14. A kayak pfd is Much better since they're high back !
  15. PFDs and paddles. You mean a Jeep Wrangler I guess ?
  16. Shimano is making their new SLX in 7'2" HF. Might worth a look as it fits the budget
  17. Using them on my ML setups.
  18. And guess Who's the devil ?
  19. 7'4" is too long, 7'3" fits barely 7'2" would be ideal
  20. I want a 7'2"-7'3" frog Rod, heavy fast...
  21. @Brewp13 Amazon.com Kastking won't ship to any of the Canadian addresses I tried (and not remote addresses)
  22. They are 145 CAD on Ebay so yes 185 is too much ...
  23. Pretty Much the answer I Got !
  24. Says ask seller but when clicking on it, brings me to the shipping terms except shipping fees. I'll try giving them a call tomorrow I guess !
