  2. Yes Sir ^9, that was good stuff right there.
  3. Are they buoyant like z man plastics? and are they durable or just normal plastics?
  4. I live just south of grand rapids, so those three reservoirs are three hours away, and therefore out of range for me. Although that statement about the Muskegon is very accurate.
  5. Today while fishing, i observed that there are many weedless lures, but there is not a single algaeless lure, except perhaps a topwater-frog. I decided this because i saw my spinnerbait plowing through leaved vegetation without any problems, but when it hit any algae, it was instantly fouled. Algae is sticky, weeds are not. The two distinct green, water things are often confused. sorry, just a ramble -Rod Snapper
  6. just today, i went to my favorite natural lake, and caught my first spinnerbait bass. sorry for the weird picture.
  7. I'm convinced he was a troll. the more he got good advice, and answered questions, the more hostile he became. it was very strange.
  8. I'm in grand rapids, and to be honest, things are a little different around here, because we don't have any reservoirs within a couple hours. That means all your fishing is going to be in natural lakes, of which there are a decent amount, rivers, of which there are also a pretty decent amount. the rivers, as you might imagine can get pretty dirty during certain seasons, meaning lots of chartreuse, white, as well as black and blue. Natural lakes are generally pretty normal, with moderately clear, to clear water, but lots of weeds, meaning that most of the time, you can only fish t rigs, top water and spinnerbaits. color in these natural lakes is generally best when as close to natural as possible. if you are ever failing to catch fish, go someplace that you can throw a ned rig, and you will get bit. in other words, its probably alot like many others places in the country, so its not like you need special stuff to fish here, just drive hard with your favorite confidence lures and you'll start to figure things out pretty quick. Good luck, and i hope this has helped at least a little bit -Rod Snapper
  9. If you want to get down to the simplest form of bass fishing, then you t-rig a senko weightless, and fish it slow. All you need are a bag of senkos, and some worm hooks, and you'll catch fish almost any day. all those hard baits are just so dang pretty though ?, especially when they are on sale. but everyone else is right. fish what you enjoy. if you hate fishing worms slow, use something else, you'll still catch fish. -Rod Snapper
  10. I have only seen one where i live. The waters are hovering in the high fifties most places, but in smaller water its getting above sixty, so its starting to be that time of year.
  11. 20lb straight braid all day, it is physically impossible to break off, as well as providing a more solid hook set due to the low stretch. Honestly though, it probably doesn't even matter that much which line you use.
  12. Junebug works well in all but the clearest water. You really don't need to bother too much with other colors unless you want to.
  13. Come warmer weather Im sure your luck will pick up, but even then whatever your fishing, slow down. if your like me, this will be really hard and boring, but if it catches fish then... oh, and try a senko.
  14. I have some Bass pro tournament series ribbon tails (7") and they seem to do almost as well as a Senko type bait, in other words they are hugely successful at catching bass.
  15. I only snagged one because i don't even use lipless crankbaits, but it was deal so might as well right ?
