  1. Make me one too.
  2. I fish a small pond after work every day. For the last 4 or 5 years, I use a medium light 6'10" dropshot rod and have been using 3/32oz Owner Shakeyhead hooks. I use a Zoom Finesse Worm (a trick worm junior). I catch 8" to 12" dinks, but it's the most fun you can have. I'm catching 15-20 fish. The secret is red bug or green pumpkin purple. I don't know what it is with these two colors, but it just flat out catches 'em. More-so with the red bug, what is it with that color, I picked it up on accident, I was going for junebug but this red bug is even better. Does anyone have a theory on this color?
  3. I think Lew's could be better, I would never pay full price for a reel. Especially the sub $150 range. The numbers on the brakes flake off after a season of use. Now the Custom Pro Gen 2 went on sale over Christmas and I did buy one and I love it. Pairs great on my X-Bites. I use it to pitch finesse jigs around stumps and lay laydowns. Great reel. The Gen 3 Custom Pro is gawd awful color. It looks cheap.
  4. Looks like I found a couple rods for my kayak. Throw on a Lew's, SLX or Feugo and I'm set. I always get nervous with my Megabass, G Loomis, and Exprides on my kayak.
  5. I like the Dobyns Champ 704C.
  6. I have a Daiwa Zillion SV TW 7:1. Will that work? I also have a Zillion HD she is on my Fury 795SB. Is the SV TW strong enough for light froggin?
  7. Title says it all. Just got it. It's probably going to be used as 1/2oz jig, heavier texas rigs, and light froggin rod.
  8. Well this is a bass forum...sooo...mkay thx
  9. After work, some people take the edge off with an adult beverage...me? I spent evening with the Dobyns Champion XP 735CB Glass. This is a rod you love or hate. The vibration from the chatterbait is somewhat muted with a glass rod, but for me it's just enough feel to be effective. That glass taper pins that fish. The strike feels like you caught a wet sock. It's truly a unique bite. Today was awesome! This pond I fish has a been called The Dink Factory, because the fish are tiny. I go there to finesse fish with dropshots, Neds and finesse shakyheads. There is something fun about a 10 inch bass on 8lb braid with a 6lb leader, peelin' drag! I caught most of my fish like that today. However, this setup I have is killer. Dobyns 735CB Glass paired with an SLX DC. Today on my first cast with this combo, I caught this beautiful girl. Caught her on a red Mini Max. I knew it was a different kind of fish when I heard the splash, you can a tell what a little fish from a larger fish. I knew it was much better than what I have been catching. She was right at 13". Fun catch after work!!!
  10. Dobyns Champion XP and Kistler KLX are almost the same feel to me. I have had better luck with Dobyns. I broke 2 KLX rods on the cast.
  11. The 735CB Glass for Jackhammers all day long. Love that rod!
  12. 5"-6" Senko on on an Owner Ultrahead Shaky Stickbait series 1/8oz. I use a Megabass X-Bites with 14lb Shimano Mastiff Fluorocarbon.
  13. Only $1100, but who's counting
