  1. I haven’t used it yet. Looks like it’s the other side of the screw they holds in he dial inside the brake.
  2. I’m curious if anyone has a Curado DC that has this small mark. It’s like a small dent. Let me know.
  3. Anyone have a curado dc? Mine has this weird small blemish lately almost a dent.
  4. I’ve been using different fluro and knots suck and snaps easier than when I used some cheap mono. How is mono on a Texas rig? I mean the weight is going to bring down the mono like fluro anyway. Also prob keep me out of snaps and breakage. Just wondering experiences.
  5. Awaiting my new DC Curado. Suggestions for lb test and and leader type. Straight braid, mono and fluro? What tests do you use and what brands do you like. What lengths for a leader. Using the below. Crankbaits - Finesse Texas or Carolina - Spinners - Jigs -
  6. Decided to go with Mojo Bass MHF 7.1 with a Curado DC. I couldn’t feel too much of a difference between the avid x and felt the micro guided might be an issue. If I was going spinnning I would definitely get the avid x. Looking forward to the delivery.
  7. Google curado dc, I never knew digital existed. Pretty wild. Coming soon.
  8. I plan on using this for senkos, jigs, cranks, everything. So I want it versatile.
  9. Made the decision to go with my first bait caster. Putting it on an Avid X 7 MHF. Looking to spend $150-$200. Shimano, Dawai, Abu or Lew’s?
  10. I’m using a 6.6 Mf and it’s like using a tree branch. The vegatation is just too thick. I’m confident I’ll be able to finesse with a MHF. Thank you Also I find myself flipping with my spinning reel in tight places. That’s the reason I was leaning to the bait caster. More accuracy. But since I have a 6.6 mf i night give the bait caster a try. I dunno. I fish for long periods. Might be more fatigue with a bait caster vs spinning.
  11. I was going for a stradic and a Avid x but That was my preference for a spinning set up. The avid x is on backorder so I have tine to see if I’m going spinning or casting. MHF 7ft I’m thinking 7ft mhf. Lots of vegatation and slop where I fish . I have a 66mf and it’s not doing it.
  12. I like to carry one rod and reel. I’m using Texas Rigs, spinner, crank, finesse fishing etc while only fishing from the shore. I’m always switching between lots of different lures but I only like carrying one set up. So my question. If I am switching a lot of the time which is better. Spinning or Casting? If I change lures a lot will I be hassled by a bait caster. Bottom line, you have one set up from the shore. What are you choosing and why? I’m in the North East and there is always wind as well. Let me know your thoughts. Let me know your gear to if you want. Thanks!
  13. Curious to what people are using now a days. What do you use for your go to rod and spinning reel?
  14. I went to BPS yesterday to grip some rods. When I compared the X to the Mojo it was a substantial difference. I can’t imagine how it actually fishes. I’m thinking of pairing it with a president 35. What do you like for a nice spinning reel?
  15. No issues at all? That’s great to hear. I see people posting issues. I can’t imagine St. Croix producing a beautiful rod with not taking that in to consideration. Both great rods for the money but want that Avid X.
  16. I was thinking of getting a Avid X but have concerns with using it with braid and a fluro leader. For me it seems like the perfect rod and I really want to get it, but I feel the guides on the Mojo will give me less hassle. Does anyone have any hands on with this? I planned on going 30lb braid with a 12lb leader. Thoughts?
  17. Do you know the differences between that and the mojo? Thank you! Do you know the difference between that and the mojo??
  18. I have spent a season fishing with a 6.6 gsx2 ugly stick. It’s time to get a “reel” deal set up. I’m tired of losing fish, line and lures. Im doing shore fishing on lakes, rivers and reservoirs. Im casting a lot in the bush so I need power, but I also want to get distance anywhere I want. Im planning to use braid and a flute leader. I’m using mostly drop shots, whacky with a senko, crank and spinner bait and everything else. The ugly stick just doesn’t seem to be that great for me anymore. I grew up using a bait caster for deep sea fishing so I’m comfortable with one, but everyone is telling me go with a spinning reel since I want distance. For rods im looking at St.Croix - mojo, triumph or premier. Lews- TP1. Abu Garcia Veritas. I really love the way the veritas feels, but I hear things about the eyes not holding up. For reels I looked at the plueger president cut and the abu Garcia revo revo x. Im thinking 7ft to work around the shore and a 30,35 or 40 on the reel size. Any direction or opinions would be appreciated!
