  1. I keep my bpack in my truck at all times and plastics don’t melt. I once even forgot a ziplock back full of bags of soft plastics on the dash of my truck with the windows up in July and they didn’t melt, don’t recommend that though. I think you have most problems when you mix different plastics together.
  2. I live in mass also, I havnt been able to catch anything lately day or night. Not for lack of trying I’ve still been going atleast three times a week. Top water, cranks or plastics and I get a random dink if I’m lucky. I only fish from shore and I really feel like I’m fishing wear they are not right now. But I keep trying.
  3. Anyone play with them. As you may have seen on another thread I picked one up the other day. Took it out to toss it around last night, no fish but it was cool. Swims great and walks amazing, also if you real a little faster it swims about 6” under the surface. Would love to hear any thing you guys have to say about them.
  4. Nice fish looks pretty long.
  5. That’s quiete a fish man congrats. You just have hit it right on the head, I can’t imagine that thing swimming fast with that gut.
  6. I don’t have much to add, but I woul live to see all that go in that box.
  7. The bps carbonlite 2.0 MH/f is what I have and I really like it for $120.
  8. I think they were made for chatterbaits so maybe they need the thump for the action. They seem to have plenty of action on them.

    Flukes

I miss a few also. Just make sure your hook is just skin hooked a little bit or sitting right on the back, so not so much plastic to go through. Nose hooked if you can should increase hook ups.
  10. I was checking out the ugly stick spin cast combos for my grandson next year. I almost can’t get over how sloppy the real is. He has a Jurassic world dock demen type now. He’s six and I feel they outgrow their set up every year right now anyway so no point in spending money on one yet. I think if they stay interested after a few seasons then get them something better. Just my two sence
  11. Ok so, good week for the tackle box bad week for the wallet. My buddy asked me to take the ride to bass pro with him when I was already there once this week. And again against my judgment I went. Two trips in one week is bad for the wallet lol. I have to admit the rat was a impulse.

You know what they say about no pics lol.

    Poppers

They work better for me then other poppers. It’s like a bubbling walking bait the the way I use it. You guys are posting colors and boxes I’ve havnt seen yet. Pretty cool I might be grabbing another tonight.
  15. Yeah, in reality I know it’s his discount not mine and it won’t get to carried away. But he will definitely be grabbing me a few lures here and there on his way home lol. I’m also more likely to make the trip just cause a freind works there. Either way it could be good and bad for me. If he even gets the job, I may have gotten a little to excited right off the bat. In all seriousness I do know right from wrong and don’t want anyone to put there job on the line for my tackle obsession.
  16. In my mind, if I was the manager. I wouldn’t mind if someone used there discount for friends and family. Now I am likely to make allot more purchases because of the discount as apposed to without it. You would think over the course of a year the profit would be larger with a larger volume of sales, apposed to less sales at full price. Idk I would be more likely to make the 45 minute trip there allot more often and could maybe spend several hundred more over the course of the year. Also having him just grab me a few things st end of his shift saves me allot of trips. I’m not trying to get to carried away with this conversation just thinking him being able to save me a few dollars on some pricey lures and ammo would be a win in my book.

    Flukes

Weightless t rigged or nose hooked depending on the weeds. Twitch, twitch pause. Through the nose you can use a smaller hook. Bassresource has a couple good fluke vids you should check them out. Also t rigged I’ve found you kinda have to let them have it for a second for a better chance at the hookset. In my expirience I just seem to miss a few also. Good luck when the fluke bite is on it’s awesome and allot of fun.
  18. A freind of mine is trying to get a job at bass pro. I’m so excited, I really need him to get that job. This could be the best news I’ve heard all week.

    Flukes

Flukes are allot of fun to fish weightless if you can, cast and twitch back. They are great here around June it’s all you need.
  20. Anyone use them. I was thinking about it as a possibility for my next setup. The 7’ medium glass. Any input would be great.
  21. I try to use any hardworking small family business that I can, even though it cost a few more dollars.
  22. I’ve only been fishing seriously for this one summer so I can’t even imagine having a ton of unopened hard baits. At the same time in one summer I’ve filled 8 3600’s 2 smaller ones a small picture album for spinnerbaits and about 20 bags of plastics that are not in 3600’s so I can see how it happens.
  23. The easiest way for the op. with the bottom number being a whole ounce is to cut the bottom number in half. Half of 5 is 2.5 so 2/5 is just under a half ounce and 3/5 is just over a half ounce. If your trying to stay roughly within your rods guidelines. Not exact math but close enough.
  24. There is still two left around here. One the older gentleman is not that friendly and closes in August for the season. The other I just found the other day for shiners about 25 mins away. Unfortunately with everyone searching the web for the cheapest price shipped to their door mop and pop stores are fast becoming a thing of the past. It’s a shame about all stores not just tackle shops hardware stores as well. You know the place that actually had the hard to find item you really needed.
