  1. Merry Christmas everyone
  2. If you’re just getting started. Buy a quality reel. You’ll end up changing out your rods as you develop your fishing style. You have no idea what kind of rod you’ll like the feel of.
  3. Use as is.
  4. A light rain in the summer. Is usually a good fishing day. From November on it’s usually to cold here, and the fishing is not good while raining.
  5. Currado bfs, dobyns 691. Had the most fun with a 1/8th oz spinnerbait. It can be a good time.
  6. If you’re throwing a 3/16 weight plus hook plus beaver. Should be totally fine on the k. The mgl’s are much better though.
  7. I’ve been interested in that swing jig rod for awhile now. Have you thrown a bladed jig on it.
  8. When are you gonna tell her how cool she is.
  9. I like it more then the head turner. There both great.
  10. I’ve consistently set 6-8/0 weighted Swimbait hooks with the falcon eye crosser and 50 pound braid on a currado k. No problem at all. With baits up to the six inch magdraft freestyle. Love that rod. Also my heaviest. My 7’2” mh expride is much more stout than I was expecting it to be. I honestly use the eye crosser for as many things as I can. I just like it.
  11. I think you’ll be fine.
  12. You can use it for just about anything.
  13. It’s the only one on the list you need. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite rods
  14. Great post and really cool stuff you have
  15. I’ve found I can use 3/16 for 90% of my fishing. I keep a couple 1/4 and 3/8’s if I’m gonna throw a bull worm or something. Other then that 3/16’s doesn’t really get bogged down and will stay down. My local Walmart used to carry the strike king four pack of 3/16 for $5.99.
  16. it’s even better with finesse jigs and light t Riggs. That’s what it was made for.
  17. Yup me also. And smaller. spinnerbaits
  18. I went through this same process over the winter. I ended up getting the dobyns 691. Because I have a couple other dobyns and liked them. It’s a light and fairly sensitive stick. I’ve mostly thrown 1/8th ounce spinnerbaits on it so far. It’s a blast and works great.
  19. The bigger rage cutR worm on light weighted belly hook. You can drop it in the holes. Swim it fast or slow. A great option when things to weedy.
  20. I thought a craw worm is just what they called soft plastic craws back in the day. I learn some thing new here everyday. Anyone else Didn’t realize it was a brand or type
