  1. Here's what mine came back with.....I could test it an hour from now and get something completely different, though. Sprint 3G Ping: 287 ms Download: 2.28 Mbps Upload: .42 Mbps I'm going to try again at like 3 am and see how much faster it is Could you imagine trying to play any online games with a ping time like ours? HEADSHOT! No kidding! I just ran my home computer through the test and my broadband cable connection pings at 32 ms, and downloads at 11.36 Mbps. If a cellular network ever gets close to that around here, I'll do a little jig!

  3. If Tmobile actually delivers what they're claiming in November (21 Mbps?) than they will have accomplished something pretty amazing.....more power to them. Im just saying that the download speeds carriers claim and what end-users actually end up with are usually not the same.
  4. ? The maximum speed over the T-mobile 4G network in those cities is about 7 Mbps (I believe T-Mobile's phones are actually throttled at 7.2 Mbps) - while Sprint 4G on an EVO can peak over 10. I'm not sure where these tests are getting their claims, unless they're basing it on theoretical speeds, which are nearly irrelevant. HSPA+ (T-mobile) may theoretically be able to reach 100Mbps, and WiMax (Sprint) can reach 1 Gbps, but if the phones and network don't support it (and none of them do) than it is merely a future ambition. At this point, nearly all the supposed 4G networks operate at similar speeds (and can not technically be referred to as 4G.....a standard which has not been met yet. What exists is 3G networks on steroids, using "4G" merely as a marketing term.) date=1287090184]T-Mobile's 4G network is already live in major cities, and is rolling out into other areas as we speak. Its 3X faster than Sprint's (according to independent tests).
  5. Why?
  6. This is a really weird pic I took at the bowling alley under blacklights. Everything about it is weird, especially how it looks like her hand is coming out of her neck.
  7. That's why I made sure to point out that this isn't a "best" list, but a favs list. Mercury was no doubt one of (if not THE) most technically accomplished singers in rock, but neither he, nor Queen have ever really been a band I cared to listen to.
  8. So who are your five favorite rock vocalists? This isn't a "best" thread or anything like that, just a little rundown of who tops your own list of kick-a** singers. Paul Rodgers (still singing as good or better than ever, btw) Chris Cornell Myles Kennedy Dug Pinnick Hayley Williams (that vibrato..KILLS....too bad I don't really dig the band that much)
  9. The Sprint Evo?How you like it? I'm either going for the Evo or the new Samsung phone. Just can't make up my mind on which one. I really love it.....just make sure you're always near a power source if you watch a lot of vids / games because it is a battery eater. I've even used the kick-stand WAY more than I ever thought I would. ;D I haven't used the HDMI-out or the video/call feature yet, so I have a bit more playing to do. My wife's contract is up next month and I'm getting her the Samsung, so I'll be interested to see which one I prefer. I don't like hardware keyboards so that's already a + on the EVO's side. The super-amoled screen on the Samsung does look very, very nice. I hear its the best screen for outside use right now as well. I'm interested to check it out. BTW....the 8MP cam takes some very decent pics for a phone camera.
  10. That Poe's just looks friggen awesome.
  11. HTC EVO user. A few apps I like: Easy Tether Pro WeatherBug Elite Astro (file manager) Google Nav / Maps / Places RockPlayer (multi-format video player) Pandora
  12. I prefer a quality snap over either of those options.
  13. Snaps on cranks. You don't want to tie directly to a lure that is designed to dance - it kills the action.
  14. When I first saw your list, I immediately starting hearing "Lick It Up" in my mind, and I knew what I had to do........although the rest of the bands in the list are right on their heels.
  15. You're probably using Internet Explorer(?) IMO, tabbed browsing (when you click a link, the new page opens in a tab in the same browser) is MUCH better than having a new browser pop up every time you click a link. This is a FireFox default, but it isn't for Internet Explorer. If you are indeed using IE, then you can click on Tools, then click on Internet Options - - in the General tab there is section for "Tabs" - click on the Settings button for the "Tabs." When you open the settings, a window will pop up - look down at the bottom where it says "Open Links From Other Programs In." Select the middle option (open tab in current window). This will allow you to open links in the same browser as a new tab. As an alternative solution, you could go to Firefox.com and click the Download button.
  16. Great photo, Nate! Those pieces are a bit creepy..... fourbizz.....all these pics of yours are seriously making me want to plan a trip to northern California.
  17. You passed the real test.
  18. How are they different than the Gamakatsu EWG Trebles (of which they look very similar)? I've been using those for quite some time with great results.
  19. My advice would be to send it back if you can. The bare minimum you should be getting in a system now would be 1GB RAM - and i would suggest 2+ if you plan on doing anything with a modern operating system. As far as the hard drive size, you could probably get by with 40Gb if you dont use a lot of apps. Im talking about specs here that you would see on a computer that would be 5+ years old. They should be almost giving away stuff like that.
  20. Beautiful shot, J!
  21. I like to pour those little Crystal Light packets into water bottles. Some guys chuckle and point when they see me messing with Crystal Light - but a merciless Falcon Punch remedies that situation.
  22. I love Petey-style cranks. The action varies from different makers, but they're all in the tight to tight/moderate category. The bait I was working on isn't really a Petey, but the action is in that vein.
