  1. Yes, splashing something causes reactionary strikes
  2. I fish both. My dissension based on the tide. I fish the St. John’s River in Palatka Fl. Success is based on moving water. In the summer higher tide in the morning after nighttime cooling and outgoing tide
  3. I live on the East Coast of Florida in Palatka. It seems to rain everyday like on the West Coast. Sometimes 6inches in 30 min. I think I see catfish bouncing of my wind shield. It doesn’t seem to bother the bass. Does muddy the water. I then fish drop offs. Irma did kill the eel grass in the St. John’s around Palatka and some in the lower part of the river.
  4. I from Palatka Fl, true Floridian born and bread. I have been bass fishing most of my life. I mainly fish the St. Johns River and Lake George. Since hurricane Irma, it had changed the river at least around Palatka killing of the vegetation. But stilling catching fish. Glad to be part of the board. If I can help you with anything please let me know.
  5. Fishing the St. Johns river Fl and Lake George Fl, I found that fishing pads, eel grass and other salad depends on the tide. fishing the right tide determines your success. I found that just as the tide starts to fall and fishing depths of 5ft to 3ft seems to be successful for me.
