  1. I just bought am 89 Bass Tracker Tournament TX. 17ft. It has a Minn Kota Co-Pilot 50 lb thrust. shouldn't that move the boat right along? As it is, it won't move the boat at all. Any ideas?
  2. Interesting! May look that up myself!
  3. Looking for a 7ft MHF casting rod and I have seen some that are 2 piece. I wonder how reliable they are, do you lose any backbone with a 2 piece as opposed to a 1 piece rod? I know it would be a real space saver during the ride to the lake. Any disadvantages?
  4. Fishing from the bank at O'SULLIVAN is pretty bad right now. Anyone out and about in the seep lakes? What lakes are you fishing? Any recommendations on a tackle set up?
  5. What applications can you cover with a 6ft casting rod? Also, considering a 7ft MH Fast action casting rod. What applications can you cover with it? I have seen 1,2,and 3 piece rods, do you lose any backbone with the multiple piece rods? And now for a reel to cover multiple applications, I was thinking 6.1:1. Tight budget here so I am pretty much looking for 1 setup that I can do the most with Thanks
  6. Hey that's a nice deal. I have been looking into Lews on Bass pro.com Save a few bucks at Dicks!
  7. Yeah a budget is a pretty big thing here.. Planning on a 7ft m/h. What would you suggest for finess and crankin? If I have to, I can buy a couple different poles and just swap my reel back and forth for now
  8. Thanks. Was thinking along that line too
  9. Say $150 for a combo or $50 for a rod alone
  10. If you could only have one baitcasting rod, reasonably priced, what would it be? Length, action, etc.. Is there a do it all rod? Stuck on the bank fishin for bass
  11. Oops. Yup 12ft was a big typo. 7ft.Is what I'm using
  12. Thanks for the tip Leberama. Will give that a shot next time out.
  13. Hey logcatcher, I'm using 8 pound mono on this pole. I may strip a bit off to be on the safe side. A barrel swivel sounds like it could help. Will give it a go.
  14. Bank fishing with a 12 ft spinning rod with a weightless Texas rigged plastic worm. My line starts to wrap really loose around my spool and even gets some birdsnests in it. Is this because of line twist? How can I avoid this? Should I be using a swivel?
