  1. yea there is current all summer when the water is up, and there are many bass in there early summer but i don't remember where all those holes are to throw somethin at 'em. They are in random spots all the way down the canal. Thanks for the info I think I might have to mark them this winter ;D
  2. I fish this 25 acre "pond" on a regular basis and it has a canal that flows about 5 or 6 miles out of it into a larger 20,000 acre lake. The canal is maybe 4-5 feet deep at it's deepest and in the winter time water stops flowing so the pond is still full of water but the canal dries up...there are maybe 30-40 old coyote dens dug down in the walls of the canal that they use in the winter. I was just curious if bass would tend to hide in those caves when the water comes back in the spring, and if it would be worth marking the holes this winter. Thanks for any info
  3. Hey I have been catching quite a few bass with weird scars that look almost like bite marks so i figure maybe they got bit when they were young and lived but i've also caught some with big hole lookin things in them, one went all the way thru the back near ones tail and I was wondering if anyone knew what causes all those deformities thanks....
  4. i just got a bag of senkos for the first time a few days ago and i haven't caught anything yet but i was curious if it can be effective at all if fished like a jerkbait...thanks
  5. Last week I was fishin and a bass broke my line so i tied on another lizard and threw right back in and caught him and got my other lizard & hook back...was weird, I wish that would happen everytime they get off...
  6. Thanks! I'll hafta go hunt one of 'em down now.
  7. do they make water thermometer's for bank fishermen other than a pool thermometer? thanks
  8. Thank you, sir.
  9. Hey could someone direct me to some info or give me info about slow rollin a spinner bait? I heard u need certain blade setup and stuff, any help would be appreciated, thanks.
  10. Hey...I had to reply to my own message cuz i must be an IDIOT but...last I heard it was the person that beats George Perry's record gets $1,000,000 regardless...plus endorsments out the arse I'm sure...is that Mill thing tru though?? I've read in Mag's and heard from ppl but.....is that the case?
  11. Yea, from everything I've read on this website that's what I would gather BUT everything I read on here seems to apply to waters south of here....I appreciate the reply Fisher of Men...I must ask dumb questions cuz I barely ever get a reply...I am in Washington State...I fish farm ponds and as I said...at this point in the spring it's maybe 6" I can see a chartreuse or white spinner bait...and it WILL get even worse once the irrigation canals fill, everyone thinks CALI will produce the next world record bass cuz of the trout stocking!!! HAHA Look at WA state...I am the biggest NEWBIE on this site yet I can catch bass all day long, 6lb max so far but I have had many days catching 20-30 4-6lb bass all day on small farm pond with weak irrigation canal running thru during summer...the irrigation canal runs to 25,000 acre reservoir with many tournaments all year long, pin fish biggest at 6 1/2 lbs...all BIG bass come up canals to shallow perch & bluegill ponds...I have seen pictures of 10 lb bass 25 years ago outta the ponds i'm fishing now...so I KNOW with all the trout stocking in this area there HAS to be BIGGER than my puny 6 lb bass...PLEASE tell me how to catch in 7 feet or less of water but MUDDY water....PLEASE...I want $1000000
  12. Caught my first bass of the year today! 14 oz. YESSSS! Anyways, anyone have any REAL good lures that imitate perch and bluegill in real muddy water? I mean 6" vis...thx
  13. Hey I have never seen anyone ask anything about this but I am curious, maybe a dumb question but I think not...anyways...I have been bass fishing not even a year and I have been fishing farm ponds and small water, every body of water here in central WA seems to have carp, today i was looking for deer sheds and came accross a pond and couldn't help but watch all the carp leaping out of the water NON-STOP...I have seen 1 bass jump out of water last summer (not hooked) and I was wondering if bass are known for eating many bugs...early spring? anytime? what if certain waters have almost TOO many bugs...will that change their feeding habits? Sorry such a long message....thx
  14. I found a small pond here in washington state last summer with BIG bass...BUT...at the deepest it is 7 1/2 feet...motorized boats simply cannot navigate the THICK milfoil, i have seen canoes even get stuck...watever flows in thru a big pipe and flows out a 5 mile canal into a 25,000 acre reservioir...the water stops flowing around november and no fish can come in or go out. MANY carp in there this spring so far and some perch and bluegill...I was just curious if anyone thinks any bass would winter in there or if they would travel down to the bigger water for the winter...I don't even know why they would want to be in this shallow water other than to spawn but i have caught HUGE bass all summer and into the fall...wondering if they might be there right now! PLEASE any feedback would be much appreciated....
