  1. Use a 3-4in long wire leader, it does not ruin the action of the lure.
  2. I replaced the felt drag washers with carbontex drag washers and it has gotten rid of the issue. Thanks for all of the responses.
  3. Awesome looking lures, what color is the gold jerkbait? (ex:tennesse shad, gill)
  4. Nice Reels what model is the green abu, it looks spectacular
  5. So I already know that the npaa offers insurance, do they offer discounts and if so what are the discounts.
  6. When I pull line off the spool with the bail down there is no sign of the braid digging in.
  7. Ok I always loosened the drag on the reel knowing that if I didn’t the drag washers would become compressed like what you were talking about
  8. Ok thanks I will have to try that.
  9. I bought a Shimano Stradic 2500 fk brand new and have had it for a year. When I pull line off the spool with the bail down on minimum drag the reel slowly tightens the drag as more line is pulled off the spool until the reel is at max drag. I checked in with Shimano and asked for a warranty claim and found that my reel was too old to make a claim on. I was wondering what I should do to resolve this issue with the reel, would it help if I bought Carbontex drag washers and replace the drag washers already in the reel?
  10. If you want a good boat get a lund, and riveted in my opinion is better than welded for the great lakes. Look at any boat company that makes boats for walleye fishing and they are all riveted. Riveted boats have issues as well though. The lund will be a much better boat but will also be more expensive. Good Luck!
  11. Get a St.Croix legend tournament you can find them at 7 foot and are in your price range. I have one and it is an excellent rod sesitve and the rod has an excellent warranty.
  12. I fish Muskys a decent amount and all the lures we use for them are under $30. They are some of the most finicky fish and they still hit baits that are rubber with next to no detail. Go with a less expensive baits like the s waver it is all about presentation, if you can find out how the fish want the bait then it will not matter if you spend $100 or $20 you will catch fish.Just my 2 cents.
  13. You could use them for anything and I did not specify but I was talking about a baitcaster.
  14. It is all up to how and what you like to fish, this will determine the setups you buy. I would reccomend getting a medium light rod and a smaller reel next.
  15. Go with a shimano stradic 2500 from Amazon.
  16. I went to the creek today and I was able to catch about five small bass on the Rebel Wee Craw and also caught a couple of small bluegills on a hook and splitshot with a piece of worm on it. Thank you for all of the advice, next time I go I think I will try an inline spinner.
  17. Yes the creek has slightly larger spots thank you for the suggestion
  18. Ok thanks I live in Southern Wisconsin and the creek does not have a name and the water temperature is around 50.
  19. I live in the midwest and was wondering if it would be worth fishing a creek by my house. The creek is about 8 feet wide and goes down to a max depth of 3-4 feet. What should I use and is the creek even worth fishing this time of year. Thanks!
  20. No these look like baitfish Bass will be a larger arc on your screen
  21. Booyah hardknocker is my favorite
  22. Cabela’s usually has better deals than bps even though bps bought them. They almost always have something good on sale for half off.
  23. The one by me just closed because a Cabela’s was put up about 2 miles away. The shop was called Mik Lurch and always had great information and a extensive selection of any lure you were looking for.
  24. Ima popper and a spro/livetarget frog work the best for me
