  1. I assume this will be worse at higher speeds? Thanks for your help.
  2. Yessir that's it.
  3. Hey guys, I just bought a used BT 165 pro. It has a 40 hp Merc on it with T & T. I haven't even got to put in the water yet, but this morning I was checking it out and noticed the trim tab is GONE. Only thing left is the base that bolts to the lower unit. The guy I bought it from never mentioned it and actually said the boat drives great. Is this a problem I need to fix ASAP or can I still run the boat til I can get another tab to put on it? Thanks for any help.
  4. That Troll King looks pretty sweet. I don't think I would screw it directly to the floor of my boat like the installation video shows, but otherwise I kinda like it.
  5. Smokinal that's what I'm thinking. Doubt I'd ever use the Quickdraw feature anyway. Hope ya'll thaw soon.
  6. Sorry guys, the 7SV is NOT a "Plus" series. Still think the bigger screen is worth the $20.
  7. Yeah I'm thinking the bigger screen is worth the 20 bucks. My eyes ain't what they used to be.
  8. Hey guys, I would like to hear your thoughts on the Striker Plus 7SV. I had finally decided on a Striker Plus 5CV for my little 2-man Bass Hunter boat. But now I can get a refurbished 7SV for $20 more than the 5cv. I originally thought the SV feature wasn't worth the extra $$ for my purposes but for $20 maybe it is. If it matters I plan on making it a portable unit by putting the transducer on an old TM mount. I know the SV transducer is quite a bit larger than the CV. Thoughts?? Thanks for any help.
  9. Good deal. I've often wondered why they didn't put the wheels on the 120 (and handles on the side) like the Bass Baby has.
  10. Dr Big Dog, I bought the exact same boat as you last summer. They had advertised a "scratch and dent sale" on Craigslist and I drove up (from Clarke Co.) and bought one. I love mine. One suggestion I'd highly recommend is a dolly of some sort to move/ launch the boat. This sucker is heavy! I made one from a scrap 2 X 8 and some pneumatic casters from Harbour Freight. Kinda wish I would have sprung for the Millenium seats too.
