  1. Hi Keeper, I checked that thinking it could be it, but with the reel apart and turning the drive shaft by hand I can hear the noise, just not as fast if that helps. This is what the bearings look like in the reel. Believe they are 3 of them, might be another one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/ABEC-7-Hybrid-CERAMIC-Bearings-FOR-SHIMANO-CURADO-CU-100D-COMPLETE-BAITCASTER/291756854204?hash=item43ee104bbc:g:nQsAAOSw2GlXGeDE
  2. Hello, I am going to link a video I uploaded showing my curado 100d making a noise when spin the handle. What I have done so far is this. I enjoy learning and doing things for myself, but I may have to send it in to DVT if it becomes too complicated. - Cleaned the entire reel and oiled and greased what shimano suggested. - The bearings in the curado look like they have an orange shield on them, not sure if they were replaced at one time or not. - I have tested it with/without the spool attached. No difference - The main gear is black plastic instead of the brass ones, not sure if this is OEM or not for those curado 100d's. - This last time I took it apart I cleaned everything and did not apply any grease or oil drops to bearings. 3rd time I've taken it completely apart and the noise did not change at all. Oh, and the tape on the line does not effect whether it is on or off. video: Any suggestions is appreciated. Thanks
  3. Thanks for the info! It actually just spins for 3-4 seconds and comes to an abrupt stop. Since i'm not a regular on here how can I get DVT's info to message him either on here or via email? thanks!
  4. Hello, Just looking for advice as I have acquired a 100 Bantam chronarch that is in really good condition cosmetically. Not being sure how old the bearings are I would like to see about replacing the two on the side to start with. Are these the correct bearings for the Bantam 100? https://www.bocabearings.com/products/fr-008c-os-ld-17028 I have cleaned the left side of the reel and oiled the bearings according to shimano's instructions, however the spool still just free spins around 7-8 seconds. Is this normal for the 100? Everything is turned off as well. Thanks
  5. Thanks so much! That will help a lot and there are some really great looking colors I noticed. Exactly what I was looking for, much appreciated. Kevin
  6. If I can find this info someplace else please feel free to let me know, but I've tried to google and look through some posts already for this. What I would like to know is some of the key differences between the types of jigs Siebert has. Example in the Brush Jig Section: extreme mata grid iron mata dredge mata extreme brush grid iron brush enraged series dredge brush This is the different ones in the brush series. I had been using D&L Tackle Advantage Jigs, mainly oops and the craw colors and came upon someone who suggested Siebert Outdoors for some quality jigs. I have not ordered any yet, but do plan on it, but was trying to find out the different types of jigs and their applications. Thanks, Kevin
