  1. I open vent when running motor but new ventless caps will only vent when pressure gets way high not like the old vented caps. I’m pretty sure the cap on the tank that came with the boat was faulty and didn’t vent at all. And I think that’s why the fitting on the tank was not connected tight. From all the pressure on it.
  2. Exactly what happened to me. Took it to service center, they told me it was that the connection at the tank wasn’t connected all the way. Not sure about that but it did work after that. I replaced the tank with a mercury tank that has a solid connection not the quick connect. Also that original tank would expand like crazy, and heard some bad reviews about it. I think the design of that tank builds to much pressure with the ventless cap and puts to much pressure on the fittings.
  3. Jaime, dealer could not find a leak when I took mine either. They just put water in it and said no leak.. I knew it was leaking it was full of water when I took it out. I took it home tilted the boat as far forward as jack would tilt it towards the bow. I filled it with water and bingo started pouring water around live well fitting. I think they didn’t tilt boat forwards and they were only looking at fittings at the back. You may want to try this on yours, it does take a bit of water to get up to the fitting.
  4. We’re they hard to get off? When I took mine off to do the same they were on real tight. I had to work at it to get them off.
  5. They called today, told me they took the live well out and straightened out the the overflow fitting and tightened it also added silicone to it. Said they water tested it and all is good. Will pick up tomorrow.
  6. Grizzly, I have owned a lot of boats and several way more expensive and even those boats had a few minor things wrong. I don’t let small things bother me. Everything is only minor and will be fixed and I just know this is a great boat and probably my last. The water leak is just the live well over flow fitting on the side of the boat, probably just needs tightened up was goin to do it myself but figured let them that’s what the warranty is for.
  7. Yes hard to find one that’s totally water proof. I put plastic storage containers with lids in the storage compartments for things I really want to keep dry. Yesterday was the first time I took the Hertaige out, let me explained a little. I bought it Feb. 6th wasn’t scheduled to get it till mid June. dealer called May 1st said it was on it’s way. Picked up May 5, I was a happy camper.. while waiting for numbers and paperwork a week later I did something to my knee! Getting old sucks was in terrible pain wasn’t able to walk for a couple weeks and 6 weeks later good enough to give the boat a try.. Backed in the water yesterday and went to prim the bulb and noticed water in the boat, not a lot but still? Took off about 5 minuets in the motor died, oh great. Could not keep it running seemed to be starved for gas, tried all I know made sure tank was vented and checked all the connections but nothing was working. Primer bulb was being sucked flat so told me fuel pump was working just seemed like it had a air lock but just couldn’t get to go. Trolling Motored back to the dock and by the way water was coming in and was running bilge all the way back. Here I am old guy with a bum knee alone no motor and boat taking on water, great first trip. Great guy putting in helped me get it back on the trailer. Went home called bass pro they told me to bring it in, took the hour and twenty minute drive and dropped it off, 2 hours later they called to come get it. They said the fitting came loose in the tank and was bad. They filled up boat up with water and said it didn’t have any leaks. Took it back to the lake, backed in and boat started to fill with water. Back on trailer and home. I tilted boat all the way forward and filled with water, the livewell over flow drain on the side started leaking big time. Called bass pro drove it back down they are fixing it. So close to 6 hours driving back and fourth to BP pretty much did me in. They said they would get it today but maybe go back tomorrow or Monday. Minor little things don’t bug me I know this boat will be great when the little things get worked out. Just wish dealer was closer.
  8. The dealer installed the trolling motor and you can see from the pic it crosses the bow. Really about the only way it could be done.
  9. To make it clear I called dealer about the gift card, got the 400 dollar gift card in the mail two days after I called him. Sorry I read my post and wasn’t even clear to me.....
  10. I got the vip # when I picked up the boat. Dealer said call him if I didn’t get the email within 10 days, I didn’t so gave him a call. Two days after got actual card in the mail, got to say dealer was great all the way through the buying process. Cincinnati Bass Pro Shop. Hey HolyBass does your boat cover still fit with the trolling motor you have? I upgraded to a Minnkota powerdrive with Ipilot and no way will the cover will fit. Guess I will sell it, if anyone needs another cover will make you a great deal...
