That's what happens when spend all your time working on rods, those look terrible and will never catch a fish at least while they are sitting on that table. Good looking baits even if you were a little rusty.
Here are some re-paints and 1 that I made. 1st pic are 2 dd22's and 1 of my magnum divers. 2nd pic are 4 handmades by another builder on this board, I just gave them a little color.
Here are few from shop, 1st pic are fat boy cranks and pic 2 are a few flatsides. Also my smallest swim bait at 2.25 inches long, it's a surface runner.
It also depends on the clear coat you decide to use. Really thin clears will need to be turned on a wheel. With thicker coatings you can turn them by hand for approx 20-30 min and then hang to cure.
Great works of art as I've come to expect from you. Fellas this guys is the king of handmade swim baits. Check out the action on these baits, and yes he can do just about any bait fish you would like.
If Barlow's did not state it was Ultra V then it's just the basic high build.
It's going to yellow in a short period of time. All clear coats yellow over time but it's the amount time it takes that is different for each clear coat. I left Devcon after 5yrs because it was yellowing very fast.
I order my stuff from Mud Hole.
Thanks fellas I appreciate the kind works.
Bigtimfish- I've been doing this for over 6yrs. I've had the hardest time with painting because I do not have artistic eye. I seen lots of guys learn to paint better than me in a short period of time.
Sam- I only use mustad short shank trebs, very good hook at the best price. I go thru a lot of hooks.
