Went out scouting today and found a couple groups in the area i want to hunt. My season ain't until april but was good to get out an see some. Called 3 within shooting range so that was kind of fun. I hope you get back out an get a good one tomorrow. GOOD LUCK!!!

Very wise thing to do here, I leanred the hard way. My boat was hit 2 times last year and my insurance didn't cover a thing..... 3000+ down the drain. Its a lot cheaper to pay a few bucks extra per month even if you never use it, because 1 time and you will wish you did. :'(

I use seperate boxes for different depths. The flat clear plastic boxes.

Thats a toss up hmmmmm I love fishing but also like hitting the fishing tackle shop too. I'd hafta say i get more enjoyment out of using it though,.....nothing like that heartpounding feeling you get when you tie into a good one!!!!!

Mice also like them as well lol. I left a package out in my garage and found them a week later with 2 worms pulled out and chewed all to heck with a big pile of chewed worms sitting beside the bag.

What a joke. I have to admit my buddy got hooked and ordered the walking worm a few years back. It was definately a waste of money, I can't remember him catching hardly any fish at all on them. Glad i was out of town when he ordered or I might have also LOL.

Well I tried fishing again today for the first time in a few month. (first mistake) Got all the gear loaded an checked the boat out i thought lol, off to the lake. Made it to the lake after a few stops for gas ,snacks an such. Backed the boat in the water an jumped in to fire it up, battery was almost dead. Ok no problem i'll use the TM batt to fire it up. Well that was dead too, I knew i forgot something :-[ So off to the nearest walmart i go, buy a new batt and back to the lake. We got it off the trailer and headed out to some of the spots i always catch fish on. First cast my buddy has a little one, thought it was going to turn into a good day. We fished for another few hours and only landed about 3 or 4 small ones, broke off on a good frog bite but never got to see it. I was also going to this lake to look at a deer hunting spot i picked out this spring, well i couldn't beach the boat because the water had dropped about 5 foot since the last time i was out. So my day didn't go as planned but atleast i got out on the water again lol. I hope to make it out again before hunting season. The water temp has dropped into the low 70's now and think they should start biting again pretty good and can't wait to get in a good day since its been too long.

Some of the timing has to do with the government holding out on handing out the money for the jobs that have been bid out. That is the problem we are having right now, Tons of jobs bid out and contracted. But no money because the governor won't sign the bills needed. Its a pain in the butt i know but there is not much you can do. So when we finally get the money thats when traffic will be a pain lol, and yes it always seems start at the end of the construction year and makes a mess for the whole next year.

Snags are hard to avoid, I've lost lures in places i thought was clean and clear lol. You never know where or when you might lose something, but if you are getting hung up a lot you have to remember that when you are looking for good structure to fish in the future. Theres a good chance of it holding a few good fish. Keep on chuckin em and it will pay off someday.

I've seen many people use it and swear by it. Myself i've tried it but only a few times and didn't have enough luck to hook me . If it makes you more confident i say go for it.

Its been tough all year down here also. I haven't been out lately cuz of the heat, but from what i've heard it hasn't picked up any. Cooler weather is coming slowly and hopefully that will turn them back on. I love fall fishing and will be heading out again soon.

I started using trailer hooks this year and have had great success witht them.

Its amazing how hard they fight when they are foul hooked ain't it. Makes ya think you have a whopper when it can be a 10 inch fish lol.
