  1. Never mind, found a local when I got here. Trees in the oddest places, and nice smallies.
  2. Headed down to a new lake to camp and fish with some family tomorrow through Tuesday. Just wanted to reach out to see if anyone had any general tips/guidance for El Dorado Lake. AKA, where's the best place to put in, where to run and not to run, anything to avoid or anything else pertinent etc... Being from up around KC I've learned to ask about trees under the water haha! P.S. I'm not asking for places to fish, but if you want to include anywhere I should take the kiddoes, I won't be mad
  3. Had awesome luck with these from Walmart. Lost them and bagged another super cheap. Never had an issue.
  4. Yup. Love Boss heads and skirts. They have a great range of premade but making your own skirt combos is addicting. Still cheaper than a store! p.s. Sieberts looks awesome too ?
  5. Depends on the jig for me. I go finesse jig and small chunk trailer. That doesn’t work, jerkbait or trick worm ?
  6. PM sent. Also, extended forecast here suuuuuucks.... it’s now big boy winter ?
  7. Dang... that’s rough... 20 boats 8 fish?
  8. I'm curious what tournament and what the results were
  9. Honestly, anything that moved. Couple different cranks, swimbaits, A-rig. I'm trying to think if we threw a moving bait that they didn't hit. Those of you that fish it regularly, is there even a point to heading south in the winter? Water was 44-45 when I was down south and nothing was below 50 north anywhere we went. Just trying to learn that lake a little bit. Graphed very little bait south at all.
  10. Hit La Cygne yesterday. Got skunked on the largemouth but the white bass were going crazy, so it was kind of fun! Cold boat ride at 29 degrees.
  11. How do you get the free tee shirt?
  12. I just purchased and installed two of those 93's. You'll like them! They're extremely nice. Bluebasser is 100% spot on. If you have a jack plate it needs to be on the jack plate or a skid/hole shot plate below it. Mine tossed some mechanical interference from the original mounting location due to my plate. Learning experience... Without a jack plate, you should be good with the standard mounting location in the instructions I would imagine if you choose the transom. There are benefits from both locations. The console is pretty sweet if you idle and use imaging a lot to scan things. Also, if I'm learning unfamiliar water I'll use the imaging while idling to figure out where it's safe to run and where it isn't. Hillsdale, Smithville etc... have a lot of timber I'd prefer to not slam into . That being said, I'm on my 93 up front quite a bit watching it for depth changes, scanning etc... Tough choice with one unit. Best of luck with the decision on mounting location. If you have any questions on the install, kick me a private message and I'll do my best.
  13. Awesome pic and thanks for the reply! It's a '95 Champion 190DC. It has an '88 Yamaha Pro V 150 on it. I was just planning on putting Stabil in what gas is left, keeping the plug out and taking it out when it warms up. Out of curiosity, what's the reason for tiling the motor down off the transom saver? Just keeping water out of the prop area?
  14. Hey All: I'm leaving by boat in the driveway this winter in anticipation of fishing on some warmer days at the local power plant lake. The majority of the winter however is under 32 degrees. My overflow and drain lines remain bone dry, so no issue there. My question is about the recirc pump and livewell pump lines. Do those pumps hold water in the lines due to some form of backflow preventer after the pumps or will they naturally drain out/down? I sincerely don't want to remove all the crap in my bilge, pull batteries and disconnect hoses unnecessarily to find out if I can avoid it. Curious if someone could verify. As much as I'd like to launch in the winter and find my boat filling with 34 degree water from a busted hose, I'm going to try to avoid it Thanks in advance!
  15. I picked up a 95 Champion 190 DC and there wasn't a front and rear butt seat. When I looked into picking up a seat and a pole, I noticed the mount was unlike anything I was accustomed to. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Is it worth finding something that will fit it or would you pull it and replace it with a more modern one? Thanks all.
  16. Thanks all!
  17. Hey there. My name is Jeff and I live in the Kansas City Metro. I've fished off and on for 25 years but only recently started dabbling around in clubs etc... When I get out it's either pond fishing before/after work or taking the boat down to Hillsdale if time allows. I also fish with a club based out of Smithville, MO that I joined last year. Great group of guys. The club fishes the MO side from Smithville down through LOZ/Truman and also Pomme and Stockton. I appreciate the wealth of knowledge and experience on this forum. Thanks.
