  1. Well that just sucks. Maybe my assumption was wrong. The only person I personally know who had the repair said it was $7k I believe and the shop had the truck almost a month.
  2. Why is big game so shiny lol
  3. I’m convinced the AFM lifter issue is due to maintenance neglect. Sure it’s probably a poor design and I’ve heard some parts supplied were not the greatest. But there’s way too many folks driving 10k miles plus between oil changes. With that design you need to keep the oil levels at the maximum and fresh full synthetic is best. Go watch project farm do oil reviews on YouTube where he tests wear. If you look at enough used vehicles online and examine the carfax reports it’s evident. I see trucks with 25k miles and only one or two reported oil changes. The dealers will try to tell you it’s because they took it to a 5 min type oil change place that doesn’t register on carfax but I don’t believe it.

    PK Grill

Yea people that own them swear by them especially competitive cooking folks. They are made of aluminum so get very hot and supposedly control temps better than any other competitor and are really efficient. The 4 way air flow system makes sense and supposedly works well. However there’s no ash control system like a Weber has. Also don’t have to worry about rust or replacing. The only person I know that has one is still using a unit from the 70s.

    PK Grill

Hear me out. I have used a Weber kettle my entire life and my current one is around 15 years old. There’s nothing “wrong” with it and I also have a small Weber gas grill and pellet smoker. However I have always wanted a PK grill and am trying to talk myself into it. Steaks are what I grill most and while I can make a darn good one on the Weber I know most all steak competition folks swear nothing beats a PK. I also would use it for smaller smokes and burgers, chicken, etc. Does anyone own a PK? Talk me into clicking buy button. I just need a small push 😂
  6. No experience but I don’t think Trey would settle on a subpar blank. One may be subjectively better or worse but I don’t doubt you’ll be satisfied. I personally wish the NFC blanks would have remained but their supply issue was a problem
  7. A JDM bantam is around 200
  8. I started using D Bombs years ago before they were on shelves but now days I tropically use a Pit Boss. I’ve just had more success on Berkley soft baits than other brands
  9. There’s more spots in smith than people in the whole state
  10. 7lbs at smith is like 20 anywhere else
  11. Frog Buzzbait Swim jig Chatterbait Fluke Swim worm Texas rig curly tail Texas rig senko Squarebill where you can
  12. Steve did a swimbait interview with Zaldain that’s awesome. He talks about everything. It’s like 2 hours long
  13. I could watch those swim bait bites all day.
  14. He knows that’s a $100k school
  15. June bug works in Mississippi when the water is a normal stain which is about 1-2 feet of visibility. But I use a slightly more red color that usually out fishes it. It’s not popular and I’ve never seen it on the shelves locally which I hope continues. When the water muddies up I switch to a black grape type color. The lake I typically fish you can leave GP at home. Any purple/black variation will outfish if 5 to 1. I usually throw a dark jig with a bright trailer.
  16. Yep. There’s 1000 pockets and one will be firing off while the closest 5 on either side are dead. Those fish migrate with the bait
  17. Same reel retails for $180 in the US. Everything on JDM market is discounted due to exchange rate. Take advantage of it and get the best JDM reel you can for your budget
  18. That’s not really a fair comparison. The Tatula is nearly twice the price and definitely better. However the LFS is a perfectly fine reel. The $150 Alphas is a different league. Definitely the Best Buy under $200 unless you need a lot of line capacity
  19. The water temp there never gets too high. You can have the front of the boat touching the bank and the rear transducer read 50-80ft deep
  20. ALF is wild. I got an expride for $180 listed used but still had the plastic on handle and looked new. Next day they sent me a $50 gift card saying it was a promo that I had no idea about. I’ve bought several “used” items that came with tags or plastic on them.
  21. Look I love Smith Lake and catching those spots. But unless someone finds a few largies back in the creek or some 4lb spots out over 200ft of water chasing herring it could be a boring tournament of literally everyone weighing in 12-15 lbs everyday. The MLF tournament at James River will be a better watch.
  22. I still have this reel sitting on my work bench. It’s been a busy year and I got lazy on the selling efforts. I have over $200 in it with all the upgrades but I can’t get used to the high thumb bar. The Core 6.8 gears, Abec bearings, carbon drag, and brake pads were all replaced last summer and have 2 trips on it where it was barely used. It’s very smooth and a great caster. $140 shipped
  23. I generally buy 6 gear ratio reels because I grew up using them and that’s what I’m used to. I have a few 7 but nothing over that.
  24. Polarizing matchup. Outside of the two fanbases the entire nation was grossed out watching knowing one would win a championship 😂 But seriously the two best teams in the country without a doubt and an incredible series. Its a shame Braden Montgomery was injured because he’s a superstar. Vitello is the best coach in the game regardless of how you feel about him.
