  1. I love this reel,....deep and shallow spools and an aluminum frame. (on amazon for $59.00) Seasir M1 Baitcaster Reels, 4.76oz Ultra-Light Carbon Fiber Fishing Reels,7.6:1 Gear Ratio, Shallow & Universal Spool, Compact, 10+1 Hybrid Ceramic Bearing, Freshwater Saltwater
  2. There are a lot of variables involved with SI mounting. My Lowrance 3-1 transducer is almost 12" long and would not fit on my Minn Kota Terrova TM so I went with a rail mounted system. It came with a composite mount and I had to replace with an aluminum one after breaking the composite one. It's stationary so it doesn't move with the TM (there is an optional handle that does rotate the rod/transducer). https://www.fishingspecialties.com/product-category/boats/tracker-boats/
  3. I put this on the front so I could drop the anchor from the back seat.
  4. In your situation I'd use my Bass Pro Bass Tender 10.2' on my 4X8 trailer. 55# trolling motor. Basstender 10.2. Small enough to be carried in the bed of a full-size pickup, Basstender comes equipped with features found on larger fishing boats. It’s outfitted with twin padded swivel fishing chairs, an aerated live well and navigation lights for nighttime outings. It also features a battery compartment, built-in 50-amp trolling motor plug and mounting platform, and rod and drink holder. The Basstender is 55 inches wide and only 16.5 inches deep. It can take on up to 495 pounds of weight – three times the weight of the boat itself. Its trihedral hull provides a stable platform and enables the boat to plane quickly with a 7-hp outboard. Suggested retail price is $899.99.
  5. Sooooo...is the GPS sensor in the head unit / screen or the transducer? If its in the head unit then GPS is ahead of the rear mounted transducer reading. Sounds like this is what WRB is trying to convey.
  6. Too bad you don't have the TF model, my 2018 TF has 2 livewells (1 for bait and 1 for catches).
  7. Livewell System Aft 21-gal. (79.49 L) aerated livewell w/divider, timer, recirculator, pump-out system & oversized overflow drain 500 GPH (1,892.71 LPH) aerator/fill pump 500 GPH (1,892.71 LPH) recirculating pump w/timer Molded 1-piece construction w/rounded corners for easy cleanup & to protect your catch
  8. Pound for pound, nothing fights as hard as a bluegill. I usually look for pine/fur trees with part of the branches sticking in the water. Crappie are kind of a dead fish to reel in (little fight). It's kinda funny catching gills when it seems like you go thru the whole family size (big down to little) when on a honey hole spot. Bending the end of the hook out just a little really seems to help on all of them no matter the size.
  9. I too get the tangle issue when casting but using a slip bobber helps. I use a spit shot closer to my snap swivel and tie my own bobber stops. My biggest reason for the braid setup is fishing from a boat and moving the boat to get a snag free ruins the fishing spot for a while. Pulling and straightening the hook prevents that problem.
  10. #8 bronze cricket hook with the point bent to the side just a little. Also use 10# braid line so when you get snagged you can pull hard and straighten out the hook to free it. Then bend the hook back once you get it back in. I use wax worms, red worms and Gulp maggots. With braided line all you have to do to set the hook is a quick jerk back with just your wrist. The bobber doesn't have to always go all the way under, sometimes if its just jiggling a little you can catch them too. As always, pay attention and learn and adapt as you go.
  11. Been there, done that. I was stationed at Camp Zama Japan (20 miles outside Tokyo) for 3 /12 years in the late 80s. Most Japanese speak more english than they like to let on (they don't want to be embarrassed). Enjoy the respect and honor of their way of life. Definitely go to the Ginza at night for all the lights. Be sure to get a wooden sake (square) drinking cup. The Bullet Train is interesting (I took it from Hokido back down to Tokyo (180mph)). Go to a local restaurant and look at the window outside that displays fake samples of the food (artwork). Get ready for sign pollution (signs that you can't read hanging everywhere). You do know they drive on the other side of the road right? (interesting to see / learn).
  12. 24 of the original constitution signers were lawyers
  13. We had a Lawyer and even a court date when we got a call from the lawyer that morning saying that the Judge reviewed the application and approved it. And "YES" it is a scam but that's how the Government set it up (you can't win trying to fight it). Another issue we had when I retired last year was with her Part B of Medicare. We didn't have insurance for a couple of months years ago so now she pays 1 1/2 times for her part b until she turns 65 this May.
  14. My wife has MS and has been on disability for over 15 years. Unfortunately they make it so that you have to get a Lawyer that specializes in these matters. At least talk to one to see what they think your chances are. Sure they take some of your back pay but at least you get your disability status.
