  3. ordered the lews KVD LKVDGC4 on Amazon it came in 4 pcs. 😫😫 I still would like to get that rod, but learned my lesson not to buy rods on Amazon. Any suggestions where I can get that particular rod. thanks
  4. Yes, $1. Little less than .$.70 ca. thanks guys for your input.
  5. I now just purchased St Croix premier 7’ MH moderate from Bass PRO $229 plus tax. Haven’t tried it out but afraid the thing will break because it’s so light. The KVD bait caster feels good with the rod. Should I get a little heavier rod. thanks.
  6. I have a KVD bait caster reel need advice on a good 7’ Rod m/h $250-$300 thanks
  7. Thank you for your comments. I took my zodiac across the lake last year just to see how the boat reacted to the water. Lots of points and inlets where our camper is parked. Had another question(not fishing) every time I open BR. I’m faced with promo for a “You could win in a contest” sometimes annoying
  8. Thank you Log Catcher. Will have to look up a YouTube as what one would use these for. Someone gave them to me and had no idea what they were. Thank you Matt. Not sure if you ever fished in Grand Lake. Should be interesting as to see what I catch. ?
  9. I hope I’m doing this right. If the photo comes through. Could someone tell me what these baits are. The one on the right has a hole all the way through the bait Thanks, Bryan Still not sure if the post went through
  10. Thank you WRB. I believe the saying, never to old to learn something new. I turn the ripe old age of 70 on the 21th of April. I fully understand your response to my question. I will try find the Glenn’s video. I’m sure I will have many backlash until I get the hang of it. Thanks Again, Bryan.
  11. A question, when using the bait casting reel. Depress the button and let go when casting, or depress button and hold the line on the reel until casting then click the button to close the line from going out.. Hope you understand my question. cant seem to see this on the videos. Thanks, Bryan
  12. Thanks for your reply. It’s a mitchell avocet iv. It’s a little cheap $25.00 the bait casting was a Bass Pro Mega Cast. Like to find out who makes those.
  13. Should have done more research on bait casting combos before my purchase. Being new i depended on Bass Pro for help and they set me up with one of their brands. 6.6.1 real and 7ft med action. $69 plus tax. They put on a 20 lb mono on for free. Hope it works out. Never did baitcasting before should be a blast little lone catch a fish.
  14. Thank you for that great advice. My wife has already advised me that I have gone over my budget for my new found sport. ?
  15. Thanks guys. Been back to Bass Pro and purchased some Fluorocarbon 8 lb line I will use for some leader line on my 20 lb braid. I have looked at a lot of knot tieing. With my vision as a senior, the only knot I can close to tieing is the surgeon. Perhaps I will get some thicker leader line. ?
  16. Omg. Thanks so much for the information, what a swell bunch. Just looked at the rods and baitcaster is med heavy and spinner is a ugly stick med fast. With my old mitchel reel. I have a 12 ft zodiac and a 55lb thrust. I purchased a fish finder. I purchased some plastic baits and spinner baits. The guy at bass pro put a 20 lb braid line on the spinner and a 20 lb mono on the baitcaster. Species in the lake I’ve been told are bass, splake, pike, trout and a few others now to try to catch a fish. Again thanks so much for all the info. Now to look at a few of the posted videos.
  17. Just retired and know nothing about bass fishing. I have been to Bass Pro and purchased a new Bait Casting Combo plus a Spinning Outfit combo. Silly question to all you bass fishermen but what bait should I start with and also what is a fluke. Thanks, Bryan
