Took the boat out the weekend before last to put it through the paces. It was my first time ever with the boat so I was a little worried but I think everything went pretty good (didn't sink her so that's something). The kids have been begging me to take them out so Sunday we spent most of the day on the water having a blast. The fish weren't biting anything we were throwing but the kids had a ton of fun anyway

We have slightly better than Wal-Mart right now and I'd like to upgrade but according to the wife I've hit my spending limit with the boat. It didn't help matters that I waited until she was out of town for a weekend to buy it. She came home to it parked in her spot!

Hi all, my name is Robert and I'm from Olathe KS. I've been watching the forums for a little while now and figured it was time to sign up. I used to go fishing with my parents when I was young, always worm and bobber, but haven't been fishing again since about 10 or so. Fast forward about 20 years and now I have 2 little ones of my own and they asked to go fishing a couple years ago, so we bought some rods (and a few worms lol) and hit some of the local ponds. One day I seen a crank on sale for 99 cents at wally world so I picked it up and gave it a shot. I caught 2 small bass and a #5 cat immediately. Over the last couple years the bass bug has slowly been taking hold, our rigs are getting a little more complex and we're itching to get to the water moot l more often. About a month ago I bought a used v bottom boat but haven't even put it in the water yet. Looking forward to some camping trips this spring and summer with plenty of fishing.
